Lazy Sunday for me and the famalam today. Off out for Sunday lunch at one of my favourite pubs, walk on the beach afterwards to digest the roast potatoes and then back home later to watch some footie. Might squeeze in a quick blast on the bike if I can be arsed. <ok>

I've loaded the car and I'm sat in a Q up the dump. Great start to the day.

I'd never heard of that one although I did take the wife to Stonehenge some years ago. Took me back to our trip round Greece. Most of the sights were flattened stones but our coach guide sat us down and told us the histories. We got to see the original Olympic Games running track. I couldn't run it myself because I'd had a ruptured disc by then and was told never to run again,so I watched the others on the coach do it.

This one is in west Cornwall. I love Greece, it's like an open air museum. Remember being in Crete a few years ago and there are literally 2500 year old pillars and tiles just lying around that look like they should be in a glass cabinet in museum. Such a rich history in Greece. I'll try and get back over there when this Covid **** dies down.

West Cornwall is a bit like that too. The landscape is littered with some really old stuff going right back to the Neolithic period. There's so much of it down here as the landscape has changed very little over the years. I can go out on my bike and stop for a bag of biltong and a flapkjack and sit in a 3500 year old ruins of a roundhouse. Cycle on a bit further and find a 3000 year old stone circle like this one in the pic. And then on the way back stop at a 6000 year old burial chamber. There's still loads down here that hasn't been discovered. Probably just sitting underneath some gorse bushes that have long overgrown.

I always wanted to visit those sites in and around the North of Scotland and isles, but looks like my travelling days are over now due to age and the wife. Nice that I can visit videos at least My favourites are Rick Steves tours. That man sees everything.
I look back now and think of those trips with my mates, finishing up at bars all over. What a waste (even though I enjoyed it......at the time!)
