Ok, fair enough. I'm sure other people will think like me though, and blame the app, hence it will impact on it's take up.

as far as i can see not a lot apart from the fact it will anonymously notify other app users that they have been in close contact with another user who has tested positive .

personally haven't bothered as i see no real benefit to someone like me who
a) is playing safe
b ) regularly hasn't got their phone with them

but considering the Govts behaviour around this app i'm not surprised and expect a pretty low take up .

If they didn't want tracking/tracing why would they download the app in the first place?

I know of two people who turn blue tooth off if they go out for a night because they don't want to be told to isolate <doh>

I was more from the point of the police being given info. I would self-isolate, but i would refuse to use something that gave cops data, where data wasn't intended to be given. I do fall on Abers side of the fence for that kind of stuff,

I really couldn't give a **** if the police know where i have been or where i am, then again i have no reason too.

Story going around work about a local woman getting a call from track and trace asking if she was isolating as per instructions, she said yes so was asked "can you open the front door and talk to us" <laugh>
