BT ref says he can't understand why var didn't give a red.

We’ve had a few of these VAR decisions everyone else found hilarious

so my sympathy is at a minimum

 

Man up @Suckmyklopp you can't just rely on the referee gifting you as many penalties as you need to actually win. Seems like you're going to have to earn this one. FWIW I think you will.

Doesn't BT ref just go with whatever has been given normally? Seen them change their mind twice in about 3 minutes before.

Oh it's a red, Pickford is dodgy as it comes. With the penalty that would have also come it would have been 2-0 and game over.

It's the first time ever I've seen the ref in the studio disagree with a decision made by the on field ref/var.

I do find it amusing though how quickly Liverpool fans have gone from 3 decades of being laughed at for proclaiming "but next year will be our year" straight into "but last year was our year" with no pause:
