Trip to butchers this morning for sausages for kids breakfast. So I had same.

 

Should have boiled them, then you wouldn't have had to burn them.

 

Or just bang em in the oven 180 for 22mins and save yaself all the effort of boiling a chipolata

 

caramelisation, you get this with good quality sausages in natural casings as they are not filled with fat.

 

Yeah oven is an option, personally I find that drys them out a bit too much for me.
