From what you've been told, do you think its just a shake up of shares or is there someone new involved?
I still believe this SD/CM/JS rumour mill is just flannel put out by them to get a better price. There's no real benefits to a share shuffle.
That’s why I’ve skipped most post because no one knows what’s happening And if they did they wouldn’t tell us
Aye, I understand that. What I don't understand is why you'd be prepared to divulge that info to a random stranger on a forum. There's nowt stopping them from posting it afterwards. I'm not sure that there's any need to divulge that sort of info to anyone at all and no offence to you, is the kind of game bob played on PF. Personally couldn't care less about anyone proving themselves by revealing their source and have no need to know. I just take whatever anyone posts in good faith and recognise not one bit of it is official.
From GOM which I thought might be a useful reference point. "This needs some correction. At the last accounting date, he'd personally put in £11.2m (director's loan to Madrox, of which £9.1m went to Short, and the rest into the club). Sartori was owed £3m (which went to Short). The only profit Donald can make is from any surplus from either the sale of Madrox itself, or from Madrox selling its shares in Sunderland and any surplus being distributed to its shareholders after all the creditors have been paid off. The much quoted £37.1m was Madrox's cost of investment before it acquired new shares in Sunderland last November (paid for using the FPP loan). The £37.1m can only be justified on the basis of full replacement of the £25m to Sunderland; to the extent that this has yet to happen, the price is unjustifiable. Any sane buyer will know this. It's difficult to know precisely where we are at the moment, because it's so long since the date of the last published accounts. By my estimates, the amount put back into the club by the turn of the year had reached £13.5m (of which Madrox borrowed £9m). So if he's asking for more than £25.6m for Sunderland, he's looking to make a wholly unjustified, and unjustifiable, ptofit. If Donald was to sell his shares in Madrox, his break even point is whatever is owed to him by Madrox at the time of the sale. Anything higher than that, in my view, is unjustifiable. You may think he deserves to make a loss; I wouldn't necessarily argue, but he's probably not psychologically ready, or even financially able, to do that yet."
I'd agree, however the above, coupled with FPP's loan converted into a shareholding in Madrox might be a possibility?
The only way we can have new investors is for FPP to be paid off. Why would they have new people coming in and what would the money be secured against?
Donald is a greedy opportunist and has a massive ego and an emotional victim mindset. All three contribute to why he isn’t psychologically ready. A complete shut down of income and a well structured fans media campaign with facts not emotional responses are the only things we can do. It’s harder to do in lockdown.
What is it about making **** up? I never asked you for your source. I queried whether you had one as you constantly shifted between 'source' and 'opinion' as to nothing's happening.
As far as I'm concerned, if it's just a share redistribution to Sartori then it's just a way of getting SD out of the hotseat in what must be the absence of reaching any full takeover agreement elsewhere. From a fans point of view it will simply be a case of scratching heads, moaning a lot on forums then starting a fresh campaign for change. I say that as even if Sartori was to present a good manifesto of change I just think his involvement with Madrox will see any messages completely lost with the fans in terms of support. It will need something very good to happen from the very start. Something like Marwood coming in - if that is even possible I don't know. Otherwise it's going to look very much the same and things like "he doesn't even live here" etc will rightly or wrongly come out and it will will negative from the start. However if that's the only option then so be it, I guess Sartori can flip it to his own requirements 3 months later as he will have control. But if FFP couldn't agree a deal with SD then it's unlikely they'll agree a deal with Sartori as the cost will be just passed along as Sartori won't want to lose millions in a few months. The only way this works is if Sartori and possibly Charlie have consistently disagreed with SD's running of the club and once he's out the way they can do some of the things we would like to see. Not convinced mind.
Not sure mate. I think it depends how the shares shuffle is done. Say,for example, that JS/his family/GF? strike a price with Donald to acquire his shares and he receives part payment in,say, preference shares, which could carry a special dividend from success at some point in the future. Donald walks off into the sunset, having no further involvement other than waiting for his divi to come in a few years time. What's important for us is that whoever acquires control is sufficiently well heeled to provide the financial input we desperately need, and that they have enough savvy to employ proper individuals who understand the game in the UK and are all reading from the same page. To me that's as important as who ends up owning the club. We've already had a billionaire owner.....look how that worked out. The appointments into key positions throughout the fabric of the club are far more important to our resurrection from this hell we currently endure. If JS has a love for the game....which we think he does....and his family have been involved in owning and running football clubs at a high level....which we know they have been...the important thing is that they get the appointments right. Makes no difference to us if Donald is somewhere in Oxford with a minor holding, waiting for the holy grail he's dreamed of. He's only getting his divi if we're successful, and we won't care a bit by that stage.
The most important thing is that the club is under responsible ownership and that it is well run and well supported financially. If the way to achieve that is for Donald to hang on to some of his shares, then so be it.
I think the only way it would work at all for the supporters is if Sartori was to announce serious new backers Also like you say an immediate revamp of the structure of the club with serious football people coming in. Sartori is currently stuck in Uruguay so he will need someone to run things. For me if he increases his shares and we see the likes of Rodwell stay in place I'll be very very underwhelmed
