If its true then this exactly what Alan nixon said it was months ago rearrangement of shares and that is all Why it has taken this long to do that is anyones guess
There's been a rumour for a while that at sometime between the Checkatade and play off finals that Sartori fell out or became disillusioned with Donald, and possibly Methven as well, which is why he's not been involved. I don't know if it's true, but it would make sense and could explain if he's trying to on more of Donald's shares why Donald is f@cking about.
If it is Satori taking a majority the only to get the fans back onside is to rid the club of Billy Smart and his ring master,me personally I prefer a clean sweep and be shot of the 3 of them
Anything reducing SD influence is a small win. Maybe JS more likely to deal with FPP were they still interested.
I saw my first game in 1967. As with all of us, there has been a great deal more ****e than sugar to taste in that time, but as a supporter you just, well,... support. For a number of reasons I don't carry an ST now but still turn up quite often. I've always been one of those who are hard to persuade that we need to "sack the manager", or get rid of "the board", often being wrong in the matter, but still thinking, that I support the club and that's it. A blind faith really. But - and they say there is always one of those - if these shysters remain at the club beyond this period , when there appears to be clear evidence of a bid from a serious party to take over in good faith, then Donald and his sidekick hustlers have done what I would have said it is impossible to do. They will have made me disinterested. Well done Donald, (and of course your patronising, condescending mouthpiece). You might not realise it yet, but my own feelings are likely to be held by most supporters and the financial fall out for you will be truly horrible. It looks like you are going to lose a lot of money, even if you haven't grasped the fact yet. When you have quite finished your indulgence, and we are obliged to start again from whatever low point your appalling tenure leaves us, we will come again. It might take a lot of time, so much time that I may not see it. But however long it takes it will happen, and on that long road, if we are plunged by you into an unnecessary and desperate low, then your name will live in infamy here and in the wider football world. And beyond it.
I think I’d take Sartori buying all of Donald’s shares over no changes at all. What I won’t like is Donald retaining anything UNLESS the majority owner is somebody fresh
If we're losing £450k a week (as Ian Botham stated his mate Jim Rodwell had told him) that equates to £1.8m per month. That money needs to be there to keep the club going so will it be coming from the FPP loan money or the owners? If it's the owners will this effectively be the £20m being drip-fed back in and if so, will that harden Donald's stance to get his full asking price?
If we apparently had somebody or some people in a period of exclusivity I understand that most of us are getting anxious and are believing the worst but to be honest Sartori would not need a period of exclusivity to change a shareholding and he has already been through EFL checks so his clearance from the EFL would have been very quick its fairly obvious that something more has gone on and hopefully is still on going. However I do suspect that maybe Sartori may want to keep his shares or negotiate a deal for his shares as I believe he currently holds about 20 per cent Methven is a minority shareholder and to be honest fairly irrelevant in the whole scheme of things he may make noise and try to seem more important than he is but to be fair that is about as much as he can do. We are all blaming Donald and I believe this is most likely right, but Sartori may also be holding things up as well. Here's hoping that we get good news in next few days
As you rightly say they have knocked the stuffing out of a lot of die hard fans hope he has the decency to do one
I could have written first paragraph. Summed me up although my first game I was conscious of was 1969. Been dragged along before then but can't remember. Coventry at home, 0-0. Loved it. Didn't follow the next paras, but I will never stop supporting or going. Don't care who is in charge in that respect.
The trouble with Sartori as I see it, is that he seems to be the sort of bloke who likes to indulge himself in one vanity project after another. Yes, he might be able to afford to buy us and invest reasonably well, but I'm sure he'd soon move on to becoming president of the Uruguayan FA, or climbing Everest backwards, or producing medical cocaine. And when this happens and he becomes an absent landlord, we'll be at risk of slipping back to the depths we're currently at.
Us oldies can remember far worse owners at ours and other clubs. Gangsters ripping everyone off. Lord Westwood at Newcastle, makes Ashley look like an angel. Not happy with Donald, but there is a lot more transparency now. Years ago we were all getting ripped off, worse than now.
I’m still suspect of how Sartori became involved in the 1st place. Rumoured to have paid £1 for a 20% stake? And then barely seen since. As has been said, he’s guilty by association. This ‘realignment of shares’ sounds as dodgy as him getting a 20% stake for £1
I asked someone clever tonight about this 'share shift' and he just laughed. I'm not disrespecting anyone, who's been advised it is about shares, but it would just shift a large debt and a huge monthly loss between a couple of shareholders. The fella I asked couldn't see any sense in it. Anyway, bedtime here.
Even if it IS just a share shift, if it removes Donald from being in control of the club, then that's great. It means a bigger takeover in the future is more likely to happen as Donald can't stop it like he's doing now.
Is he stopping a takeover? Got the impression talks were ongoing. Have I missed something, although would not be first time?
