Dreadful news for us and for the lad. Hope he gets fit quickly and copes okay with it mentally. This should mean however that he gets removed from our squad which should free up some cash in the salary cap. Just depends if us being at the top of the salary cap was "real" or if we were just pretending so that we didn't need to spend much more money.
it is of course infuriating that we've dillydallied around signing center back cover long enough that now clubs / agents will know we are truly desperate. Does anybody at the club think strategically at all?
How much "Dillydallying" have we done? I'm certainly not clued up but we've been linked with a few centre halves. And a few others who basically haven't signed. And I've only heard about it from papers., Nothing from the horses mouth. I apologise if you are ITK but most people assume that we've done nothing when, as per every transfer window, the people that "know" are not on forums like this and most who slate us for not making x y or z signgings don't know for certain exactly what has been happening. All about opinions mind

True... but its about luck... i often wonder if we are cursed, perhaps a wise woman needs to come to SoL and lift any Hex on us
It does seem that way sometimes, this is a bad blow for club and player, we have to take it on the chin and make a loan signing or two if we can.
I think that's a bit of a stretch to come up with this conclusion. There's every chance we've nailed down one or two targets and we are waiting on a chain of transfers to take place first. There's a whole host of reasons that we might be holding back on bringing certain players in.
The guy has played one game for us, he's not had any sort of impact that we are going to miss. It's not the end of the world, just replace him and move on.

Don't see how anyone at the club could have factored this in mate. It's no-one's fault....just bad luck.....something that seems to plague us far too often. I've said for a long time, and I know there are many who don't agree with me,but I hate our players getting called up for international football. We buy them,look after them and pay them only to lose their services through something that happened elsewhere.****ing ridiculous.
What has Flanagan done wrong? Got sent off for being last man (harshly IMO). Otherwise he's been pretty good for us this season.
Parkinson has said today we won't be signing anybody before the deadline. So only freebies from next week. And unfortunately most freebies will need a few weeks to get fit as well.
