Lockdowns don't work ? , tell that to China and New Zealand.Half arsed lockdowns don't work.
Our lockdown worked, the problem and high numbers came back with schools and Universities.

If China and New Zealand were doing these half arsed tests the UK are doing and including flu in their cases they would be the same, if the government and msm weren't constantly telling all the sheep that cases are rising and you should be still in your bunkers with your muzzles on you would have thought all this had blown over.

Or could it be the underfunding of the NHS by Blair, Cameron and his side kick Osborne

The Germans are much quicker to react to high infection rates, since schools and universities went back our numbers have rocketed, but they don't want to say that's where its spreading.

Take a look at the death rates in India they must have found a cure. Other countries are reporting any deaths of people infected same as us. Putin though must have healing qualities according to their figures.

To be honest, I’ve given up trying to understand what is best. I’m only catching the news snippets here and there, if Beth Rigby or Laura Kunnesberg are on I switch it straight over, I can’t stand either of them.

Hindsight is great but Boris has got it wrong, we’ve thrown Billions at this and now we have to decide do we absolutely collapse the economy or overwhelm the NHS it’s all back to square one but with no money left.

It’s so easy for us all to say what we should do but that depends if you’re elderly and vulnerable, if you’re able to sit at home drawing on a decent pension or if you have a young family and mortgage to pay.

Lock us down and people will rebel, there is a huge element not interested in listening, do this localised lock down and people will travel to neighbouring towns and cities. Many businesses are following strict guidelines, many are not and are seeing a gap to cash in.

My biggest gripe about it all, a precedent was set when the government allowed the BLM protests to go ahead.

I was just going through the first few pages of this thread, back then I feared a two week lock down, we actually had three months.

Point is after three months we’re back to square one, this virus is never going away.

Could someone please explain to me the obsession with the flu? Are we actually talking about the virus Influenza? Relatively few people die of the actually influenza virus in this country and it certainly wouldn't be statistically significant to the death toll if it was added over the last few months. You find most people (and even online articles) who talk about the "flu" are actually referring to Influenza and pneumonia as a catch all term for respiratory deaths which to me is even more baffling considering, firstly that most pneumonias are caused by bacterial infections (strep aurus, staph aurus etc), aspiration or even fungal infections rather than the vius influenza. And secondly, pneumonia is a symptom of an underlying condition (pneumon - lung | Ia - Inflammation) rather than an actual cause of disease.

My sister is a nurse and dealing with the effects of this. Perhaps those who feel it is just the flu would like to volunteer to be orderlies on some of these wards. It could help preserve some the valuable PPE equipment.

The problem we have at the moment is Everyman and his dog are having their say wether they are qualified or not = too many people putting their own interpretation on everything
And with the benefit of hindsight

Agendas mate but you’re right. Simple example, my wife runs a hair salon so we belong to a federation that oversees Covid regulations. On their FB page they make an announcement and the way many reply and “interpret” what’s been said to suit themselves is astonishing. The same is happening all over the country but then I’m not knocking those with agendas, if you’ve no money coming in and you have three kids to feed and a mortgage and you’re told you need to stay at home for three weeks it’s a pretty worrying time so you’re going to look for those loopholes. I just can’t see how this is going to end in a way that is acceptable to the majority

Maybe if there weren't so many criminals taking advantage of the system there would be more money available to those who really need it, but that has always been the case unfortunately

Jobs ****ed in the UK lads. Every man for himself!

Get some vitamin D and C tablets down yer through winter, sort the diet out and keep yourselves as fit as you can get. Gives you as good a chance as any in case you catch it. Its gonna be a long winter. Hopefully the football keeps going.

You have to take into account the average age of India is far less than the western world, also seen in Africa death rates are lower because the mortality rate in younger people is far less.

Its because they dont go to hospital and are sent back to their famalies to look after them. The local doctor puts down the cause of death and its a **** fest.

We need to see the annual death rates for individual countries and compare with a five year average. Do you actually believe germany and russia?
