England players have given him a lot of abuse. He's never of the desired standard. Denmark were so ordinary against 10 men and only a great Schmeichel save and a clearance off the line stopped them blowing it. Southgate has selection questions to answer in midfield and in terms of the formation. He's beginning to look like another stubborn coach.
That was grim. An absolute **** ref. Obviously, one of the kids at school who was **** at football so decided to become a ref to ruin it for everyone and get his own back. I don't think the Maguire second yellow was a yellow, so that decision skewed the game. With the way Denmark play the game, it was going to be difficult to recover from that dodgy penalty decision. ( I do concede that we were awarded an equally dodgy one v Belgium. ) We need a bit of creativity in the middle of the park.
Yeah, I don't like this formation and two holding midfield players at home against Denmark is ridiculous.
