If I remember correctly, he was in charge for the 6-0 drubbing we took up there which knackered our playoff hopes a few years back. That was hardly his fault though, and at least he can't send off Tomlin this game....... I think it was him that disallowed a perfectly good Bamba goal when he blew up prematurely for a foul (on Ralls?) instead of playing advantage in the box until play was dead
Cluck me. The 2 most useless refs in the Championship in 2 games. Stroud is just incompetent but Hooper likes to use his position to influence games. Some appalling VAR decisions with him in the box as a case in point. He should not be out without his carer.

Lies, damned lies ..... and statistics. It's the manner of some of those defeats and the decisions behind them that rankle. He didn't start off too badly but mostly downhill in recent years.
I do recall the Hull away game when in a few mad minutes he sent off Andrew Taylor and awarded each team a penalty (what’s one of those) but irrespective of the few times he’s been in charge of our games (including the Bamba one) I’ve seen enough of him in numerous Championship games on tv to evidence his incompetence. And as for Hooper.....
