Very difficult to keep someone in the last year of their contract if they want to go. I noticed in the Sunderland game that Alfie's body language was not good.

The word is that Doughty wants to play in the Championship. This just feels to me like a slow erosion in the quality of our squad. I’m not impressed with any of our signings since relegation - cheap tat with it all to prove in the main. I go back to the spine of our side when we were last in League One - Bauer, Bielik, Cullen, Aribo, Taylor etc. Absolutely nothing of that quality in this current squad.
Well, he's served the sentences for his crimes, and apparently not been in trouble with the police since 2016. I hope he is over his drink issues as well. Not saying Inniss will be a great (or even good) signing. But I won't hold his past against him if he has moved on from it.
