Pfffft. Standard practice for bullshit artists to slag of other bullshit artists to promote their own bullshit artistry. "The Thinking Person's" bit is a neat touch, though. The gullible will be all: "I'm a thinking person, and I'll believe everything this tells me to prove I'm a thinking person"
CDC Study Finds Overwhelming Majority Of People Getting Coronavirus Wore Masks https://thefederalist.com/2020/10/1...-coronavirus-wore-masks/#.X4YHwSqnEH8.twitter
Why is that news? Masks are not meant to stop you getting the virus, they are meant to stop people spreading it to others by spraying caughs and sneeze vapour into the air and onto surfaces where people pick it up on their hands. How thick can some people be that they think masks are meant to stop you from catching it
Meaning the likelihood of more mask wearers getting it than non-wearers isn't surprising. But somehow, the CDC thought it was worth investigating and reporting.
How does wearing a mask make you more likely to get it? Does the government spray all masks with it to make it spread
Erm, it doesn't. As most people wear masks, and they're only supposed to work at stopping the wearer infecting others, it shouldn't be a surprise that most people with it had worn a mask, which makes the CDC report even dafter.
So what do you think is the right thing to do then, wear a mask to stop spreading it or **** the mask and just pass it around?
Goes down well with a **** load of idiots that think masks are meant to protect you. "see, the masks aren't saving them so ****ed if i'm being forced to wear one" Total ****ing inbreds
It's quite a leap to highlight the bit the article did, when the summary of the report is probably of more value. Summary What is already known about the topic? Community and close contact exposures contribute to the spread of COVID-19. What is added by this report? Findings from a case-control investigation of symptomatic outpatients from 11 U.S. health care facilities found that close contact with persons with known COVID-19 or going to locations that offer on-site eating and drinking options were associated with COVID-19 positivity. Adults with positive SARS-CoV-2 test results were approximately twice as likely to have reported dining at a restaurant than were those with negative SARS-CoV-2 test results. What are the implications for public health practice? Eating and drinking on-site at locations that offer such options might be important risk factors associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Efforts to reduce possible exposures where mask use and social distancing are difficult to maintain, such as when eating and drinking, should be considered to protect customers, employees, and communities.
