Dave Jones maybe? A bit far north for Curbishley, I reckon...

I was surprised to see this at first but the latest score I had seen at the time was 1-0 Forest.

It's a shame managers keep changing clubs before they play us, by the time we get to the City Ground they'll probably have turned their form around.

As for a replacement, O'Neill would be a real coup for the club but more likely Roy Keane or Dave Jones.

The surprising thing about that is that Nigel Doughty has also resigned.

Reckon that leaves quite a void.

That club was always going to fail as long as that ridiculous Acquisitions Committe remained in action.

This might well depend on money (now there's a thing!!)

Nigel Doughty has been the massive benefactor at Forest for a while, it may well be that he has decided to resign because he thinks he has ploughed enough money into the club. The question then is, who else is ther to fund new purchases.

Difficult one this. Nigel Pearson is from Nottingham so there may well be a link there. Lets hope that his "Work In Progress" remains his priority.

They've had so many poor results and with promotion aspirations they didn't want to wait around any longer, not that i'm condoning them sacking him after only 10 games but i guess it is easy to say that as a neutral. They have a good squad who weren't performing, a new manager might get them going like we've seen at Donny and our trip there might be a heck of a lot more trickier than it seemed with Mclaren in the job. Dave Jones is probably the most likely candidate, i can't see anyone already in a job going there. So Dave Jones or Martin O'Neill i think.

Now that would be something wouldn't it? Following his old man along the Brian Clough way back o the City Ground!

It won't happen though, Nigel is a man of integrity just like his old man. Derby have been loyal to young Nigel so he'll stay at Derby.

As for Forest, well the board needs to change before a once great club will start going forward again.

For TWS, Forest won 2 European cups playing football and not kicking, fighting and cheating unlike the Dirty Don Revie philosophy!

Dave Jones could do a job there.

Pity about McLaren, he is a better coach than manager, but had no chance at Forest the way they were set up. Surely the next manager will not accept it.

He's been through a lot. I wonder if he's got anything left in his locker?

And even Brian Clough never lasted more than - what was it? 17 days? - at TWS, post-Don Revie. :bandit:

O niell I can't see going to forest he needs backing from the board, and before a ball was kicked promises were broken at forest in terms of what was agreed, also the reason Davies left, difficult to see who would come in and do a job in the situation they are in at the moment. Keane possibly but it seems forest want a yes man so would that rule him out. As long as it's not NP I'm not worried about their plight.

its a new tactic. a couple of years ago it was "resign after you play Hull". now managers are pre-empting playing us by resigning first.
