I'm not blaming Labour Watford. I just dislike the side snipes when they don't have a credible answer.
Fair enough. Personally I care more about the death and economic destruction. You seem comfortable enough with “side swipes” at the SNP.
That's fair enough. I dislike the complete incompetence and decision making that is costing lives and livelihoods. In all fairness, the opposition did enquire as to what the plan was this autumn. Obviously it was to use a dysfunctioning test and trace system, encourage people back to work but not back to work, eat out to help spread the virus, a bizarre 10pm curfew in pubs, the perfectly safe environment of opening schools and education, forgetting to add 16,000 positive tests to the system, clear and concise messaging that even the PM didnt know but best of all, award more private contacts without scrutiny to as many party donors as possible. I think it was an excellent plan, it's really been successful again. Hey it's anyone but the people in charge we should blame though
That's not fair Watford. Both my partner and myself have gone out and helped and are still helping others. Even as we speak she is on the phone to an 83yr old who has recently come out if hospital asking if she needs anything. Yesterday she took some shopping to a vulnerable person. Over the weekend I was helping out some kids with confidence classes. Many of which are at low points as parents are struggling with (cancer/ drinking problems/bullying/finace) All of this while we are working. rather than bitch about things I get on with helping out people who need it. What annoys me about certain sections of our political culture is that some are seizing on this for nothing more than political reasons... Including Labour and the SNP. If you truly believe that Starmer or WeeWillyKranky care anyone than the ones we have in now... You will be disappointed.
Not sure what you expect them, as the opposition, to do when the government is spaffing money on what appears to be thin air. Starmer has been quite restrained- certainly far more restrained than I could ever imagine Johnson/Tories being if the roles were reversed.
Six months ago today Cummings totally undermined the government’s stance, rather than parting their ways they backed him. Like it or not that was a hugely pivotal point in the governments handling of this. It was a one rule for them one rule for everyone else, peoples trust was lost. Whilst Cummings is hardly alone in this he was part of those implementing the rules. for me they never had my trust in the first place. Thankfully for me I follow the science and err on the side of caution, even if I were to be sceptical of the benefits of masks and social distancing its absolutely no skin off my nose to adhere, it’s hardly much of an inconvenience so why people object is beyond me. Not everyone shares these views though.
Bob people are f22ked of with Covid... I am as well as the rest of the World. We all just want to get on with our lives but this thing keeps popping up. The government didn't cause this disease. Agree they have made mistakes like WHO and the rest if the world have. For every we should go left there will be a we go right.
Labour shouldn't be blamed for anything. How can you blame a party for its policies when it doesn't have any policies?
I totally agree with you there Ellers. People are well and truly ****ed off. I would have so much more patience and respect if there was ever an apology for these constant cock ups, or if someone shouldered the blame.
Again I agree, how can anyone blame labour or any other party for the **** ups the government of the day continue to make. Well said Goldy
Starmer is a cautious lawyer. His views (particularly Brexit) took a pounding at the last election, so now he's adopting grey. But when he's questioned in any detail, he doesn't stray from what the government is doing on Brexit or Covid
When have I ever blamed Labour for the governments' action? I just moan at them because they complain and never tell us what they would do... until after the fact.
Because despite everything we still have a significant minority of predominantly thick as ****, middle-aged white male voters obsessed with their chosen form of Brexit being delivered. Not a difficult conundrum there.
