the government could easily legislate against the proposal to permanently shut the door on this idea. like I said earlier they will spit their dummy out and **** off to Europe. Good riddance to them.
I’ll celebrate every defeat the top 6 have this year with more gusto now. they must hate the fact that Everton are setting the early pace.
They're starting to **** themselves... Takeovers have already caused them nightmares. It's so ****ing obvious what stopped ours. I just pray ours still happens and one or two of them go under.
TBF Mike Ashley would do the same, blood sucking leaches run the big clubs, it’s not a decision made by or even backed by the fans on the whole. Hopefully The Glazers get shot in the face as soon as possible and Woodward slips into a wood chipper.
Once the takeover goes through and newcastles one of the big 8 im all for it.. Until then it's not fair
Ashley remains desperate to offload United despite playing the ‘caring owner’ role by attending each of the Magpies’ opening Premier League games of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign. And there is a positivity among his legal representatives that this deal can be pushed through. The Gazette understands the consortium have agreed to pay more than the originally agreed £300 million for the football club. It’s understood PIF, PCP and the Reubens – who will split the club 80%, 10% and 10% – have accepted an Ashley proposal which would see them shell out an extra 10% on top of their original purchase price
I am struggling to be arsed about anything football related including us becoming the richest club in the world. I want to still be interested, but its absolute garbage. I couldn't even bring myself to watch 1 minute of my national team yesterday. The only 'football' I've watched this season is Newcastle. However I'd struggle to term it football due to the current manager, but also because its now a non contact sport for absolute fannies. The fans now not being at games has turned the games into pre season run outs. The results will reflect the weirdness of it all, and realistically whoever wins the titles under current circumstances must accept they are tarnished. As I say though, even without the covid weird, football has rapidly lost its lustre as a sport. The fact we now have the big clubs trying to put the final nail in the coffin is difficult to get too upset about - they have been working towards this for years, and we are all guilty of sitting by while the ****ed the game. But the FA as the supposed guardians of the game in this country must carry the can. They sold out control to the PL in the 90's and everything has spiralled from there. Same goes for our never ending takeover saga. Money and those influencing the game as a result of their wealth, coupled with a general culture in everyday life of being absolute pussies, have ****ed the game I enjoyed. I said this to a group of young lads who play football for the Saturday team my brother manages. They just laughed and essentially said football has moved on, its more about flair and skill now, and tackling just prevents that being showcased and causes injuries I looked at my brother and shook my head. I then watched them dive their way through 90mins. A hand on the shoulder while running? Go down. A sliding tackle where ball is won? Too aggressive and out of control, free kick. **** it, football is a bag of ****e now. Its not even in my top 3 sports anymore having previously been easily No.1 from 0-30 year old. Happy Monday
I had a choice yesterday. Jump on my bike in the cold and pedal 25 miles, or watch England. I really enjoyed the bike ride. On the flipside I saw a KO of the year in the UFC on Saturday Timberrrr!!! You BA Baracus looking mother ****er
Just been on twitter and ghoudossi has commented on project big picture.. Says it kills competition then I read the comments and it's full of Toon fans saying get the takeover done.. Not one of them and I mean not one has stopped for one second to think this would put PIF off. I believe it most certainly will... Whatever plans they had would be impossible if project big picture got the go-ahead, so they'll likley just not bother now... Or unless it's ruled out point blank. Just my opinion, but this is another obstacle.. Another problem for pif to consider... Will it won't it.. Just that might be the final straw... A nice play imo.
I wouldnt think so, but It's another problem...another problem to consider.. Its a business plan and they might not like the idea of gambling millions on the assumption this won't ever happen today or in a few years. It's food for thought in what's already become far more difficult than they anticipated... The words kills competition are key... Why would they bother... They already know of it happens they're ****ed.
Get the feeling this whole "bigger picture" is to do with the takeover - scared the **** out of the top 6 - you look at Everton storming it this season, Leicester winning it a few years back, Wolves coming close to upsetting the apple cart few seasons ago, us potentially ending up with the richest owners - potentially a few of those top 6 spots changing hands in the next few years - clubs like Man U are fast realising their rein as top dogs is coming to an end and desperately trying to put measures in place to stop other teams winning their place. The top 6 could find 2/3 of them not even in Europe in the next few seasons. Arsenal barely hanging on to European places atm will be desperate for this to go through. Liverpool just back from a 30 year trophy hiatus desperate for it not to happen again. Be interested to see Roman Abramovic or The City Sheikhs thoughts on it they have been the quietest on this (probably their idea as well just letting the dumb yanks take all the flak...) It happens - there are always era's where certain teams do better than others - Forrest and Villa use to be powerhouses once upon a time ffs! It's the beauty of football unless you like Spanish Italian or French football where one or two clubs do well and the rest are also rans.
The takeover is ****ed now more than likley unless this is ruled out. There's just no point buying the club if this goes ahead I wouldbt have thought anyway.
I can't see it going through in all honesty - apart from the "big 6" I can't see any other team being interested in this. Also think it'll make MA and PIF move faster towards legal action... The more they try and stop it the more I think SA will push it through - they probably don't need to but I'd imagine they don't take kindly to being told "no"
