This is nothing more than opportunism and personally I can’t see 14 members of the PL falling for it. They’ve shown their true colours though. Be interesting to see how their fanbases react to this.
The main Kopite fan group - the spirit of shankly - are socialists. They should be all over this, but we’ll see.
Of course they're and the premier league didn't rule it out either... They just said we're trying to find solutions, but don't line certain things about it
The idea that 14 clubs are going to endorse the idea of the big 6 effectively taking control of the entire league without the rest having any genuine say, is for the birds. What’s happened today is 2 sets of greedy Sherman owners trying their hand.
Read what they said mate, they did. There might be elements of that proposal that they back, but the prime objective of the Sherman’s ain’t one of them, otherwise they’d have said **** all.
Mike Ashley, along with trusted confidant Justin Barnes, have been tasked with pushing the takeover through by the money men behind the deal – and have begun their legal challenge to the Premier League via Blackstone Chambers duo Shaheed Fatima QC and Nick De Marco QC. But the push for progress, which remains ongoing behind the scenes, is not expected to bear fruit until at least December or January, despite rumours circulating online to the contrary. This news may come as a shock to some fans who had been hoping for movement imminently.
Basically the Saudis want to have an impact this season and he said if it isn't sorted by January they might walk... Well tbh he just remains to be seen if they'll hang around longer..
