**** the Cartel https://news.sky.com/story/premier-...Dtxkt46NS3NxBlT95j16TRPJcLzDabxRMat7dSLL1DI2A The biggest shake-up of English football in a generation is being proposed by Manchester United and Liverpool and it would see the number of teams in the top flight reduced from 20 to 18. Sky News' sports correspondent Martha Kelner said the changes would be "seismic" and put the majority of the power into the hands of the biggest clubs. The plan - called Project Big Picture - has been confirmed to Sky News, and was first reported in the Sunday Telegraph. As well as a change in size, the new proposals would change the leagues finances and power system. A quarter of the league's revenue would go to the English Football League, with £250m paid up front to help them through the coronavirus crisis..
Kiss goodbye to the takeover.. This will end PIFs already dwindling interest. Nice play from the cartel
The cartel will be able to block any takeover which threatens their dominance. I think the other 14 PL clubs should vote to kick out this horrible bunch of ****s. Hope they **** off and enjoy their European league. They are effectively bribing the smaller clubs outside of PL who they know are vulnerable to agree to a dictatorship.
The thing is they know aswel as I do that everything will just go on exactly like they want it to.. The fans are too gutless collectively to win the war by just walking away, so instead they'll lose the war and keep bending over begging for it in their arseholes while complaining in between matches. That's the cold hard truth!
What happens if, say man it’s got relegated? Would the cartel just cancel the relegation? I presume so.
More like PIF were still there and they were going to lose a legal challenge, so they leak this to frighten them off.. I believe Leeds were close to a big takeover so it'll put paid to any plans going on in the background there.
Hopefully these changes will initially require a majority of the remaining 14 PL clubs to vote in favour of it. Can’t see that happening at all. Could open up legal challenges too.
