Back to playing league games today (Hockey for anyone who doesn't know). 6-1 win Decent result, could/should have been probably double that. But for a first game with a team made up of two teams from last year (we mashed them together this season) it was pretty good. Also good to get off to big winning start.
Today we played the same team as two weeks ago, South Yorkshire being in T3 meaning we're only to play the teams in our region. They turned up with a slightly better team (as their higher team wasn't playing) and we were slightly weaker (injuries and people working). We still won 6-0. Very unpleasant game, mainly cause they're **** and their only option to stop us was to foul and make the game scrappy. Also didn't help they brought supporters who were foul mouthed and complaining about everything and wipping the animosity up and that got to one of the umpires who went full PGMOL and turned the game into a real stop/start and destroyed any rhythm to the game. Anyway it means we don't have to play them again this season (or probably next if we can ever get to finish the season)

It was actually disappointing. Let Ireland have it and were content to just defend. They had the lions share of possession but were so stupid with it, bashing up the middle and going nowhere. If we had the actual guile we could have won by 50. Thier set piece was absolute kack. Second try was down to an over throw and they basically threw 12 point s at least away kicking to the corner then throwing the position away. The players are physical but they are also stunted in any sort of attacking game. Easy win but should have been an absolute hammering
Andy farrell will be sacked after the 6 nations. Ireland are all at sea, not as bad as Wales are but still totally bereft. their issue for me is they have a bad mix of a coach who thinks he is coaching England, bashing it up the middle combine with players who are just not big enough nor fast enough to play that way.
