I was shocked to see liverpool v everton- the biggest derby in the North the fourth game on MOTD.
The games above us in the pecking order were not particualy BIG games, or even Good games- there may have been more goals but there was half the controversy. It was the biggest game of the day, hence was chosen to be played on TV at 12.45 and i dont think it failed to deliver.

    Sort it out BBC

    Meh, I wasn't that bothered.

I don't care if we are shown first or last as long as we are shown.

Yeah but the first games get extended highlights.

I don't think it really mattered yesterday as there were only 6 games, but usually the first 2 games get an extra 5 minutes or so of highlights.

I too was surprised to see it that low down in the pecking order.

Wondering why these games were on before us:
Man City v Blackburn - lots of goals in a very one sided game, lets be honest Blackburn are going to get relegated this year. Hardly a contest to put on first.
Manure v Norwich - Plucky underdogs put in a good performance against league leaders but still lose. If Norwich had won the game I could have seen it being on before us but they didnt.
Newcastle v Wolves - WTF?? So Newcastle have been doing well, not really the biggest game around nor was it a great game.

Then Liverpool v Everton - BIG local derby game with a controvestial sending off, plenty of bad tackles (mostly from Everton players) and a couple of goals added in (the same amount score line as Manure/Nor)

Baffles the mind why our game wasnt on first or even second.

I reckon if it was the so called 'Manchester Derby' was on this weekend it would be shown first. That isn't really a ''Manchester derby'' as only one of the clubs is based in Manchester, and thats City. Its Manchester vs Salford.

It's in their interest to put your game further back, as it means that you keep watching the programme.

What they are refering to is the size of the game.
If it were say the North East Derby, then we would expect that to be one first, or the North London Derby, or the Manchester Derby. It was a big game and therefore should have been on first.

And if they'd have put it on first then a number of Liverpool and Everton fans would have lost interest in the rest of the programme and switched off or over.

Whats wrong with that. Are they supposed to watch the entire programme because the Manchester United biased media say so?

Nothing's wrong with it, but they clearly want more people to watch their programme.

To be fair, the three games which were played before Liverpool involved teams above us in the league so I can sort of understand the reasoning behind it.

Thought it might have been on earlier but it wasn't and we can't do much about it.

So Manure fans are allowed to switch over after there game and not watch ours but Liverpool and Everton have to sit through Newcastle/wolves?

I'd have thought that there'd have been more interest in the Liverpool/Everton game than Norwich's visit to Old Trafford.
Derby game with a big, contentious decision and both are big clubs (no offence to Norwich) with a lot of supporters, plus neutral interest.

Am I the only one who doesn't get bothered by this? The highlights weren't exactly cut, usually the cut highlights don't show the half time whistle or the full time whistle.

The stupid Machester United biased BBC decided that a home banker (Man Who vs Norwich) was worth putting on first rather than a derby match. Jesus they are stupid.

It doesn't matter which was one first, but that was as much a banker as the United game was. There was far more drama and excitement in the Liverpool- Everton game than there was in both those put together. There was also more of an atmosphere at Goodison than there was in both those games put together. Well done Everton in that respect.

Blackburn v City was on first, following by the United game.
It will almost certainly have been a ploy to keep viewers watching, with it only being 6 games. If it was a fuller schedule they'd have put the less 'interesting' games at the back as usual.
