Wasn’t sure if whether to post here or on squad watch seeing as we’ve just been talking about him but good to see Clarke is impressing Jose. I was impressed with him in pre-season and despite a rough first season of loans, I definitely think there’s a really good player in the making there. With him learning from Bale and the pair also impressing the coaches, it’ll be interesting to see if we do keep him (and find a way for him to get minutes) or find a much more suitable loan this time around.

Dammit, you're going against the Narrative of him being the sole reason we didn't sign Dybala last summer

...a Narrative that is based on the incorrect belief that Dybala's image rights would have cost £14m to sort out, not the £30-40m it has been regularly reported as

Romano also buried any narrative that Clarke cost us the deal when he said Dybala plain and simply rejected us. Not forgetting other reports that said Juve supposedly were unwilling to sanction a deal without a replacement.

The lad got so much hate for something that wasn’t his fault. Really would love it if he comes good, definitely think there’s bags of raw talent there, learning from Bale for a while could be great but ultimately it’s minutes on the pitch he’ll really need going forward.

Well, I just posted it over there, so I'll just edit my comment in here! <laugh>

Haven't read the actual article, as that website's a ****ing mess, but it's an interesting claim from Gold.
He's basically the club's mouthpiece right now, so I'm sure he's right.
Some bench appearances in the Europa and plenty of academy games, I guess?

    Rodon Watch
The Times reports that Joe Rodon has two potential suitors, namely us and West Scam

They also report that we are Rodon's preferred destination. Gee, I wonder why...

Yeah I wasn’t sure where to post it as it mentions about rebuffing bids but also about the development of players in the squad.

Clarke’s got one of the best in the world in his position to learn from at the moment but ultimately I feel it’s game time that gets the best out of players and I’m not sure if a few bench appearances is enough at the moment seeing as he barely even managed that last season. Maybe a loan in January could be on the cards though? Ideally get some appearances in Europa and possibly against Stoke whilst learning from Bale (and Son and co) and then off to the Championship in January to finish the season with the aim to return in the summer as a genuine first team squad player.

The article does also state that Bale’s blowing away the coaching staff in training - excitement levels are rising!

There's a ton of players in his position, but with the schedule that we've got we really need to avoid overplaying any of them.
That still means rotating Son, Bale, Alli, Moura, Bergwijn and Lamela, though.
It's nice to have plenty of options, but probably not great for someone trying to break through.

Perhaps Forest is an option, now that Chris Hughton's taken over the helm there?
I've no idea what their squad's like at the moment. Pretty crap, judging by their start to the season.

Dan KP saying that talks are still ongoing for Rodon but fee is still a fair way off. Still got just over a week to get this done though.

He may be starting tonight against England so will be a decent chance for us to have a look at him. Hopefully he don’t play too well though otherwise that’ll be another £5m on the asking price.

Norwich and Brentford rumoured to be interested in Rose on loan. I think they’d be good moves for him at this moment in time. Top tier Championship sides who even for half a season can help him get fit and hopefully find some form with then a potential view of a decent transfer in January.

Norwich probably better seeing as they sold Lewis. Brentford still have Henry at the moment.

Bit of a shame how it’s gone for him these last couple years. Not been able to find the right loan and he’s had one or two injuries along the way. Hopefully this one works out for him. Well down the pecking order here so will be playing for a move.

FootballDotLondon report that we're considering loaning both Tanganga and Cirkin to Championship clubs by October 16th

Tanganga seems unlikely. Might be more chance if we sign Rodon and/or keep Carter-Vickers.

I would've thought Harvey White is most likely to be going out on loan, while Jamie Bowden would also potentially be loaned if he weren't injured
