... if you'd seen him on the day, yes or no.

I'll be honest, if I saw him in the street tomorrow I'd clout him and accept the consequences.

"Aston Villa fan Simon Ebdon, 54, punched the boy in the face as he and his dad waited for a train outside Wembley following the showpiece game which saw City lift the trophy back in March."

Pleased the Villa fans gave him up , the police did their job getting him to court but the soft sentence was not as tough as it could have been . On reflection a good hiding was probably more deserved so yes give him a clout !!!

I am reckon I am too old to do much damage now but I doubt I could have stopped myself if I saw that.

Why is this not a custodial sentence?

Deffo, I thought the pompey fans that were goading and taunting me while I was on the tube with my little girls and wife were the pits but to actually punch a 9 year old boy in the face is rotten, he probably avoided jail for his own safety as he would have got a pasting inside no doubt about it

From the first moment we got off the tube, at Baker Street, we were astonished at how aggressive the Portsmouth supporters were. I lived through the 70s and 80s but couldn't believe what was happening.

100% I would have reacted if that was my kid, someone would need to have dragged me off him.

How the ****er gets off so lightly is beyond me
If Royal mail don't sack him, aomeone needs to.

Would I have reacted. I'd like to think some mates/ fellow supporters would have pinned the **** down while I consoled my kid, got my kid in good company then went to town on the scumbag. It may not have worked that way....

I'm struggling to remember reading anything so cowardly! Wants to be all angry with the other team supporters after losing a match, so angry that he wants to hit someone be a real hooligan but is scared to hit an adult so hits a 9 year old kid. On top of that he hits him while his Dad is distracted trying to get him through the crowd.

He wants lashing to death with a footy sock full of diarrhoea.

Cnut wants horse whipping, 80 hours unpaid work, I would probably be in jail now if I'd seen that cnut.

Leeds fans are notorious for doing cowardly acts like that.
Im mates with a well known Boro hooligan, and he said Leeds fans are the scummiest you can meet. They have a mentality that it doesnt matter how old you are, theyll hit you anyway because one day that kid will be an adult fan of whatever team
I have quite a few books at home on Football hooliganism and most other teams fans say the same.
