The silence is deafening. I understand the need for discretion when conducting negotiations with other clubs/players/agents etc, but the apparent inactivity is numbing. This fan base needs (deserves!) some action from the club in acquiring what we need to turn these distinctly average performances into positive results. We're not asking for miracles, just some positivity and ambition from Tan, Dalman and Choo to go forwards not looking back at historical mistakes in the fear that they'll be repeated. What's gone has gone, for goodness sake let's go forward with some real ambition (there's that word again) instead of being afraid. Very frustrating for us and I assume for Harris as well.
Well said Sparkey. Every time I get a Not606 alert, I get all excited and ready myself for our purchase. Only to find out that Masky is pregnant again (no offence Masky) I t might be down to financial constraints, but as you say, all we're lookimng for are signs. I t does all smack of lack of ambition again, and to be honest I think that applies to Harris too. I even womnder if he was brought in because he wouldn't be making demands. I thinks he's here for the job. Hey ho. I'm usually wrong about these things and maybe there's a grand plan.
I understand your doubts about Harris - I share them as well and have since the off. He seemed like a ready made, out of work, inexpensive option who talked a good fight to me and might be lacking in the single minded charisma that marks a good manager out. We asked can he produce change at the club and move away from the inherited Warnock style and players to match? To be fair, it looks like he's been starved of funds but there's a nagging doubt that that isn't the only problem. Being able to attract the right players was always a problem for Warnock. I remember Clyne refusing to come here on loan from Liverpool and choosing Bournemouth because he preferred Eddie Howe's approach to the game. That could be the same for us now with his past Millwall history. Whatever, money talks and at the end of the day, it looks as if he's not being given the chance. Whether he gets the finacial backing or not is going to be the biggest factor for us this season. I don't see this present squad as good enough overall.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again this is going to be a treading water season - mid table at the absolute best. The next week or so will determine if that view will change. I’m not holding my breath
Be careful - it originally came form the Daily Star last night...................... https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-ham-weighing-up-shock-19075368
Looks like they are considering every centre back in the Championship who has a modicum of Premier experience. Just lazy paper talk I think. Was the Star reporter ex-WoL? Tell them to foxtrot oscar if they come calling. Or say Morro is in quarantine for 14 days due to Covid so can't talk to anyone.
Here’s what we’ve all been waiting for - today’s exclusive from Glen https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/what-happened-29-cardiff-city-19076223
The problem could be that having turned down previous moves Morro could feel he has shown past loyalty but with the club now apparently showing a lack of ambition he may fancy another stab at the Prem - albeit not being first choice there. I guess Rodon would prefer going to Spurs with Bale and Davies already there rather than the bang average, at best, Spammers. Morro could be next on their list. If he was to go let's hope its quick and for good money so we can scout a replacement. Assuming the club don't trouser the money. If not then it's Flint.
Spammers no longer after Morro according to today's WoL. Tomorrow.........who knows? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
Take your pick from this selection from Glen’s pal Tom https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...s/premier-league-free-agents-cardiff-19080802
What a load of dross. Niasse ffs!!! 6 goalies which we don't need and 5 full backs who generally can't hack it elsewhere. And the piece de resistance, Jack F'king Wheelchair. Shambolic journalism again.
Looks like I'm repeating myself. Bloody IT. Sparks please delete one and this comment when you see it. Thanks.
@BluefromBridgend - at least here's something for you Bluey....................... https://www.footballinsider247.com/...-qpr-set-sights-on-signing-cardiff-city-star/
