Wasn't me! I'd have had them on perfectly parallel, smoothed out and carried out a final check with a spirit level....
I just read an article about Charlton's troubled passed, what was going on there prior to the Danish/USA owner finally buying it beggar belief. Shades of what went on at Notts County a few years back springs to mind.
Net spend of all 24 teams in League 1 over the last 10 years. Before you click the link... where do you expect us to be? https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...pared-oxford-united-and-burton-albion-2995346
Without giving it away for others I wasn’t surprised, as it’s a net spend and given the circumstances of our last 10 years we’re more likely than most on that list to have spent big, but we’re also more likely than most to have sold fairly big so I think a useful additional measure would have been actual spend and income rather than just net. edit - None of which is to say that we couldn’t or shouldn’t have either bought or sold bigger. It’s just a reflection of Prem budgets, even for a relatively lowly team, rather than those of perennial League One sides.
Methinks they've ****ed up the figures by one hundred million. They've quoted £13,7080,000, top class journalism, perhaps they should try £13,708,000.
Burnley are set for a £200m takeover by Egyptian businessman Mohamed El Kashashy. Apparently, he was in for Charlton and Charlton Supporters' Trust were glad to see the back of him.
£200m for Burnley. No disrespect, but Burnley. From what I gather this guy could but another Michael Knighton clone.
