    Good work.
Wimbledon are about to return to Plough Lane. I guess we've never been there.

Went there 82/83 & 83/84. Won both times, 2-1 and 4-1. We were heading down as they were going up the league.

I too was at both, the 4-1 game was the last time I sarcastically 'celebrated' the opposition scoring a consolation goal.

If they hadn't scored that goal we, not the Blunts, would have gone up that season along with Wimbledon.

Indeed, I think that may have been a Persil ticket train trip. Odd that Fleetwood are the Cod Army as I was at Highbury about eighteen months ago. I visited the chippy nearest the ground, and asked if they served haddock, the guy replied 'that's the only fish we fry here.'

City played at the old Plough Lane ground a few times, but the new ground is on a different site the other side of the river (the old greyhound stadium).

Did you know, grey coloured greyhounds are very rare, and the ones that exist are described as being blue. :emoticon-0147-emo:

City beat Wimbledon at Plough Lane when Vinny Jones was the man there. Believe the score of 4-1 was the Dons heaviest home defeat in their brief FL history and still might stand today.

Slightly off topic - Kamil Grosicki just hit a 29 minute hattrick for Poland.

Must have been in Dave Bassett's era. Mike's brother.
Recall Sheffield Utd getting promoted at Lester. Bertie was the Blunts boss, fans ran on and mobbed Bassett, then nicked his clothes, but let him keep his Y fronts.

I guess Magennis will have mixed feelings about going off to play for NI, as once he is out the side, I suspect he will find it hard t get back in. Though if Wilk's is fit, then our first choice front 3 has to be Adelakun/Wilk's/KLP.
