I'm talking about Martial and Lamela...... How can the referee not also send off the Spurs player (( where's VAR ? )) Both players hardly touched each other - yet Lamela goes down as if he'd been shot -- extremely embarrassing... This is the sort of cheating that VAR is supposed to eradicate. ...... and when will teams realise that there is a huge risk when playing from the back at goal kicks ? ( Kane's goal ) .... and judging by the double nutmeg that led to Son's goal, I reckon that O'Gilvie couldn't do worse than the left back for Man Utd...... ( I'm not sure if that is high praise from what I've witnessed today ) ..... and whilst we've mentioned cheating -- the referee was an utter disgrace for not sending off Luke Shaw -- it was a 100 times worse than what John Egan did when he got a red card against Villa --- the scoreline at the time, should not have controlled his decision...... just to clarify - YES I am calling the referee a cheat.
Football has gone to pot. Maguire is a league one defender at best, who the hell decided a donkey was worth £80M need their head testing, more money than sense. As for the Spurs / United red card incident, it was a red, but the player that collapsed like a sack of spuds was also cheating, where was VAR when you needed it. I don't blame the ref, he only has a certain angle, and probably only saw the incident in a moment of the latter offence being committed. At least when Charlie Lee use to see red, he made it worthwhile. You knew he had slapped you good and hard. As for Klopp Best part of the day........EVRA!
