Think Cavani’s a good signing for Utd to be honest. Been one of the elite strikers over the last decade, not in his prime any more but will bring bags of experience to that Utd attack. Martial, Rashford and Greenwood are all good but none of them are great, Cavani’s experience might help one or two over the line. Is probably a panic buy though considering they could’ve signed him ages ago.

I think he is great striker, but in recent seasons injuries have been an issue, nothing specific but missed 22 matches last season and 16 the season before.
Surprised that given the size of agents/signing on fee thats been reported that its only a 1 year deal.

But its a short season with lots of midweek matches and I am sure that he does improve their squad

He's also different to what they've already got.

You know what, we take the piss a fair bit out of the ‘other lot’, but this is a terrific gesture. Hats off.

Also a major ‘**** you’ to the club haha

It's an noble thing to do. However (and call me cynical), I can't help but feel there's an ulterior motive behind this move. The way he's made it public, and the timing of it, means he was fully aware that it would paint the club in an even more damaging way.

You can't beat this guy's PR. He's done everything in his power to make himself look like a victim being wronged and, consequently, portrayed Arsenal as the villains.

There 100% is an ulterior motive and that makes it all the funnier from an outsider’s perspective <laugh>

He's their Danny Rose, but probably on 3-4 times the wages.

    As I suspected.

The thing is, Ozil positioned himself in a way where he can't lose.

If he offers to pay Gunnersaurus's wages, and the club say no, Arsenal are the bad guys.
If he offers to do it, and the club say yes, then Ozil looks like some sort of philanthropist.
If they decide to do a u-turn on their decision, the club reinstate Gunnersaurus and they decide to pay rather than Ozil, then it's because Ozil forced them into it.

    He wins no matter what.

Whatever fleeting hope he had of incorporating himself back into the matchday squad has now been squashed. Not a chance he plays for us ever again now.

  13. Anyone else fearing for Poch should he be silly enough to take United’s poisoned chalice?

This is where you draw the line?! <laugh>
He literally had a genocidal dictator as his best man and you're cutting him off because he offered to pay for the bloke in the fluffy dinosaur suit?

Yep. It'll be a stupid move for him but I think the bright lights of Man Utd will draw him in as the little hobbit is on borrowed time.

****ing poisonous club these days. Useless owners, useless DoF and a decent amount of overpriced & overpaid crap to work with.

Far cry from the glamour empire Fergie built. Far cry.

When you say 'you', do you mean me personally or Arsenal as a club?

Whichever part you think is appropriate.
Do you think that Ozil should be finished over it or is that just how you believe Arsenal will react?

I thought he was done anyway, to be honest. As I said to you before, he's running out his contract and then joining Basaksehir.
    He doesn't care about Arsenal.
