Yet you said that allegedly he was the only one who never heard anything back? Is this a fact (as in did he say that) or not. I think that you'll find that most football clubs would employ a black manager if he/she was the best candidate for the job. Maybe Dwight needs to take a step back and try to work out that if football is so inherently rascist why do clubs employ black players? The answer is because most clubs sign people based upon how good a footballer they are or whether they'll improve the current structure. I would guess that the same applies to managers because at the end of the day, football clubs want their team to succeed.
For those of you old enough to remember, Novice Poster from over the road had a canny story about Wendy G
SAFC is Donald's big risk for profit/loss. He seems totally detached and doing little to protect his 'investment'. IMO, from what I've heard, he's no longer involved in the running of the club. I'm struggling to think of any other reason except he's on his way.
From what I know, he's not. Fox was doing a hand over to Rodwell at the start of the September after his holiday and was due to go (assume he's gone now). Rodwell is in charge with others around.
The Rodwell situation is a strange one. I was told Donald wasn't responsible for him being there but that sounded like bullshyte at the time ... ... who knows with this club though.
That rings a bell actually. I also heard another one about her being quite friendly at an awards do years back!
My view of the Madrox tenure is that I will give them some credit for the stabilization of the finances. We have dropped from an income of £140m (and still losing another £25m on top) to about £20m in two seasons and I wouldn't underestimate the challenge there in keeping the whole thing afloat. The players on big contracts must have been a real challenge to move on as well. But it's on the pitch where it needs to happen and on that front SD in conjunction with his appointments have been rubbish. He got an inexperienced manager when we have 8 players and we needed an experienced manager with contacts, and then followed it up with another bad choice in getting PP when we desperately needed inspiration. He has completely ****ed up the Maja situation, then buggered up the window in terms of replacing him with completely the wrong type of player for the team and spending £3m to boot. And basically we are still looking no closer to promotion in our 3rd season with a ridiculously high L1 budget, although admittedly it's early days this time around. On top of that the Academy has been a disaster. As far as I'm concerned he's a nearly man in football, nearly reaches his objectives but doesn't. Same at Eastleigh and Sunderland. Personally though I do not subscribe to the chancer stuff and certainly not any of the stuff about him being a liar. I just think that he's a decent fella that took on a club too big for him.
Thats pretty much his tenure here in a nutshell, problem is and whats making people dislike him is that, hes bought a rolls royce that he can afford to put the petrol in, instead of getting it on autotrader and getting it sold hes put in in the garage to look at it
Someone who found himself well out of his depth once the initial period had passed and without the football knowledge to know what to do next , sooner we are rid the better so the club can move on .
