Absolutely right Sparkey. We have something of a penchant for mediocrity it seems. I know finances must be tight but even then I'm struggling to understand our strategy. Perhaps it'll all make sense as the season progresses.
Non news really. Just rehashed what had been said elsewhere. I won't be disappointed if he goes there but we must do something positive to sign players of the right ages and abilities in the positions where we need them.
Totally right BfB. We just seem to be reactive to what comes available rather than being proactive and asking questions. Albert is Ok but hardly likely to help set the tone for the next couple of seasons. And to quote my esteemed friend Remote, It don't mean a thing if he ain't got that zing.
As Sparks posted elsewhere Swift not on due to injury. There are no other credible rumours out there so any additions in the short term unlikely. Still 11 days to snaffle a Prem loaner. No idea who. Likely to be some carcasses in Liverpool and Manchester after yesterday. Just think though, we could have signed Ollie Watkins 3 years ago.
Today Glen offers us Jota of the Villa. Super talented player and good at this level but one little obstacle. He’s signed for Deportiva Alaves. Nice one Glen Apparently no truth in the rumour City are looking at Christian Atsu.
BBC Football site completed transfers today confirm we’ve signed full all for an undisclosed fee, on a five year contract....we wish him well! Kick my three bollocks for me please!
Jack Wheelchair's contract at West Ham terminated. No, I wouldn't suggest signing him as long as Masky has his three bollocks. Horrible little sh1t. Wheelchair NOT Masky.
Big talk of Spurs signing Rodon from Jacks. Fee between £15/20m possibly with Cameron Carter Vickers to Swansea as part of deal. Swans would then need a centre back quickly. Can we offer them Flint for £2/3m? They pay us not us them.
Well, yesterday was a waste of time. Nobody new in and no deadwood out. Hope the next 10 days are more fruitful.
Couldn't see anything happening yesterday. The significance was mainly for the Prem and foreign clubs to complete business between each other. It should mean that all that was going to happen between them is now done Prem clubs with players who were in the frame for leaving and haven't gone will be looking to farm out on loan. I read somewhere that the deals for the Liverpool pair Harry Wilson and Grujic both collapsed and they may become available for loan. Not saying we want either of them but it must be the case that other clubs will be in a similar position with players now available over the next 10 days. Got a feeling that it's only now the wheeeling and dealing will start for the EFL clubs.
nothing much happened in the Championship over the last few days. As you say, just waiting for the 'trickle down' after the PL dealings.
He gets paid for this https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-didnt-buy-anyone-19054461
Read it earlier - what a waste of time. This isn't news reporting, just recycling what every Cardiff City supporter already knows. I appreciate it must be a difficult task to report on City due to the lack of rumours let alone activity, but this sort of article is a joke.
Off topic I gather one of Glen’s predecessors Dominic Booth has a book out about Warnock and well known City message board contributor Paul Evans has one out on the 1971 season.
