will look at a Golf...neat cars. I’m guessing the insurers baulk at a young man with a Golf though but will look
Should be okay with a smaller engine. Great cars Golfs. Tried and tested over 4 decades now. Cheap to run and maintain too.
Cheers once again guise...this will help steer my thoughts a bit see what I did there? steer my thoughts? hehe
I was thinking around 2/2.5k That looks orite I’ve only really looked on auto trader currently...will expand my horizons
ebay, gumtree, facebook marketplace are the first places I start looking. You have to be a bit more savvy about what you're looking for and ask plenty of questions. But some proper bargains to be had
give over . I have a Polo & i can assure you it has no cred at all as for the Fox Personally if the old man is paying the lad should be grateful for whatever he receives even if it is a yellow , with a black vinyl roof , Renault 12 or so i was advised at great length .
Maybe it's a different generation but that was my thinking as well. You pass your license and you get a motor was enough cred and a buzz on its own. You were already fcking up on most other 18 yr olds catching the 192 home after 6th form. Peugeot 405 saloon in metallic green was my first... had a sunroof so I was chuffed
My daughter's about to take her test... and she'll be getting something that gets her from A to B. Having said that, some of the motors ppl have put up for the price they are have been a pleasant surprise tbf. Did not expect that.
Going back 10 years now and you're still talking Bluetooth and phone linking, technology has meant that getting a car that old isn't what it once was.
And prices in relative terms don't seem to have held up as much on those cars by the looks of it, i.e. you get more for less comparatively than say 20-30 years ago.
