So Trump is now back at the Whitehouse. Can’t help feeling that this has been nothing more than an elaborate election scam which overplayed his reaction to the infection. If it’s that easy to recover from the virus, with largely “off the shelf” drugs, why are 1000 people a day still dying in the US?
I’m not saying that he did not test positive, just think he has used his very mild infection and subsequent treatment as a campaign tool.

Certainly kept him in the news and shifted the focus away from the ****show of a 'debate'.

TBF, Biden showed him a little bit of compassion that frankly he doesn’t deserve. Biden now needs to step up his attacks on Trump on issues such as his tax returns, his handling of the pandemic etc.

Biden handled himself quite well I think. He could hardly say “Have that, you ****ing orange loon!” when Trump got sick. Bet he thought it though.

If that was their aim, and I wouldn’t doubt it, the he completely ****ed it up with his comment on his release imo.

I've since the video clip of him standing outside the WH without his mask. If you look closely at his breathing, it doesn’t look like someone who is in great health.

I think they are taking a gamble with him, which he'll be well onside with. The next few days could be critical for him if he starts to relapse.

Completely irresponsible behaviour from him right through this, swanning around with out a mask, getting infected, infecting others, then playing it down and playing the 'hero who faced it up'. Now telling Americans to get back to work and don't be afraid of the virus.

Gullible saps like hiag will lap this **** up.

That’s the bit I never get. No matter how gullible you are, every time he opens his mouth it’s always to praise himself. Surely Americans see through that?

You'd like to think so, but there are huge swathes of the US that basically either do not or cannot think critically about what they are being presented with and just lap it up.

It's not just the US either, look at the whole Brexit debacle. For almost 3 years experts were warning about the economic, constitutional and commercial impacts of leaving the EU, along with losing our rights to freedom of movement, detriment to joined up working in science and healthcare etc and on and on the list goes. Yet huge amounts of people allowed themselves to get sucked in by a few nationalistic soundbites, empty promises and the meaningless platitudes of 'taking our country back'

He looked gaunt when he did the video during the treatment with the broom up his back. He didn't look that great last night either stood on the balcony of the WH.

He may think he's ok but anyone who's had experience of Dexamethasone will know that's what it does... temporarily. It will be more interesting to see how he is in a week or two once the effects wear off.

Btw no admission of when he first tested positive and still not abiding by the 14 day quarantine. You can tell those around him who are well under the thumb because they're the ones not wearing masks or keeping well away from him.

Dex is a vile drug in terms of its side effects as I do have first hand experience. It also can’t just be given and stopped, he’ll have to be weaned of it, the minimum length of a course of that stuff will be 2 weeks, more if they started him on a relatively high dose, which I suspect they will have done.
