I’ve never read such rebuttal comments from you, Chief.

If we keep perspective, nothing has changed since Jose left. In hindsight, the club made a grave mistake picking Pogba over Jose. Pogba has to be the absolute worst thing to ever happen to this club in terms of compounding negative effect.

Ultimately, patience is not going to save us. Nor is bringing back the crowd. Swift action is required but we don’t have the balls to ever be decisive. So, the fkshow shall continue. I am now at a point where the mess has become hilarious. I don’t even get angry anymore because there isn’t a damn thing that I can do about it.

Allegri and Poch are available, yet we continue to hold on to hope...

Steady on - Liverpool shipped seven goals yesterday - **** happens. In their case, seven past the world's best defence and with eleven men is of greater concern than a bad, early season result. There's a long way to go in the very odd season. Don't panic captain.

Let’s stop drawing useless parallels, glazer. Liverpool earned the right to tank it yesterday. It came as a shock.

But with us, it has turned into a joke because people expect us to lose every other game. If not for VAR, it would be three games with zero wins and two of them played at home, albeit without fans.

Sh* didn’t happen yesterday. We have been swimming in sh* for quite some time.

In terms of midfield I wanted to see McTominay instead of Matic. 2 seasons ago this kid was really showing he could become a regular 1st team midfielder. Since then he's been warming the bench.

Can I also throw Dalot into the mix. I know some don't rate him but the guy is technically very good and imo has also been held back by poor coachimg and bit part selections. Watch him go to AC Milan and make a name for himself.

Dalot’s case is microcosm of what’s wrong with the club. Same thing is happening with Dan James. And now McTominay. We always cry about lack of transfers, but the evidence strictly points to complete mismanagement on the field.

I want McTominay starting with van de Beek. Fk Pogba especially!!! Fk him!!!!

McTominay is my classic type of player. Works hard for the team and starting to come good. Then got dropped because King Pogba has to be on the field.

I don't buy this Liverpool were worse so it's all ok ****, sorry.

I don't care what Liverpool do.

But, as Cytrax pointed out, being current league and very recent champions league champions buys them a bit of time. They are in credit, we are a million miles from that.

Agree that McTominay should also be ahead of Pogba (and Matic) in the 1st eleven.

van Der Beek and Fernandes, with McTominay behind. Fred a better bet than Pogba and Matic as well.

^^^^this. As a neutral that watched both games I would say that, as bloody amusing as it was, the Liverpool result was one of those flukes that come along every once in a while. Unfortunately, I thought that the Utd result was a sign of just how you have fallen over the last few seasons and no great surprise.

Something's wrong at the heart of the club. I can write this season like the others. A piss poor start. Get to xmas then go on a 20 game unbeaten run. Everyone thinks yeh we've suddenly come good, then one dodgy performance, confidence wanes, the results start to drop and we end the season saying.. we just need a <enter position here> in these key positions and we'll be good.

Cue another overhyped underwhelming transfer window...go back to the top and repear.

Ultimately the problem on the pitch is created by what's going on off it.

Btw the other reason we shouldn't be comparing Livpl with United is Ole/Klopp and Woodward/Michael Edwards

Calm down ladies, we've only played three games this season.

Ok, what do you think our aim should be this season?

We are going to win the league this season! lol

Three games in and the goal difference is already negative six.

It is not only three games. It’s been happening for the better part of ten games. It’s structural problem that will persist even after few set of good games that I label head fakes.

Ok, this is already an insane season - we can see that from the wide range of ridiculous results up and down the PL table. This is the new normal in football - the concept of fortress X or Y, full of intimidating fans unsettling inexperienced sides is a thing of the past - games played behind closed doors always throw up anomalous results but, as with any season, the usual suspects will rise to their true positions in the table. I firmly believe that we do need a Sancho, someone to take over attacking duties on the right from Wan Bissaka - at the moment we carry zero attacking threat on the right side. Does it need to be Sancho or a player with his playing style at less than £100m ?? I don't think we need Cavani but now it seems he has joined I like the idea of him being there to bring on our younger strikers and to be there when Martial blows cold - as he often does.

In my view, Ole has been thrown under the bus by Woodward. Our collective spend on our plan B's will almost certainly come to the exact figure that was being asked for Sancho - if the board aren't prepared to back Ole then it is a disgrace.

As for our aim - I suspect that we will be in the top four, I don't think we will progress far in the CL either - but its all guesswork after just three games in.

You see your first couple of paragraphs completely contradict your earlier 3 games post. This isn't just 3 games as you've just pointed out.

In terms of your aim for the club, I don't know what you've seen so far to justify it? I want to know what you base that on.

I agree. And the GD has been negative after every game iirc.

On its own it's just meaningless. Sorry I know that may sound unfair on the player but are we just signing for the sake of signing because in case no one's noticed we've got plenty already. We just don't have them in the position we need! And we won't do at 11pm tonight either.

This is like Jack coming home from the cattle market and showing his mum some magic beans!

If there was an exact science to any of this I would be laying the odds with the bookie. At this stage in any season it's called guesswork and being up-beat about the fortunes of a club a club that we can do **** all about changing - it is as it is, we support them through good and bad, down in League 2 and up there in 1999. You watch, Leeds will win the league and Spurs will implode under JM <laugh>

I support the club but my aim is that we improve upon last season. It's really just as simple as that. I think that's the least any supporter of a club can hope for.

I just don't see any evidence of it. In fact I think the outcome will be worse.

It's a game, there's far more serious **** to contend with than football at the moment. We all want the best for the club, but we're powerless. If Patrice Evra, Rio, Keano and others can do nothing about it - we're ****ed.
