Don't mind me, putting this up early Southwell 6:50 Blowing Dixie @ 10/1 This horse is 4 from 6 at Southwell with 2 further places, he won here off 74 (by 4 lengths) when under the Jane Chapple-Hyam stable, and now returns to his beloved Southwell off a mark of 76 having had two "prep" runs for the Iain Jardine yard at Wolves. He to me looks twice the price that he should be, and I think this is a typical race where you can put a line through half the field. Mukha Magic is the other one to be interested in, given his perfect course and distance record, however he is still on a high mark due to his relative consistency on turf. 8:20 Custard The Dragon @ 12/1 EW This horse also loves Southwell, and unlike Blowing Dixie, he has been showing up well on turf, but the key here is the switch back to Southwell where he is 7 from 19 with a further 3 placed efforts. He has dropped to his last winning mark for the surface and again you probably can write off half the field here. Jazz Hands would be the other one to be aware of if getting any market support.
That first one looks a great spot Nass. I think I'll take a look at that later......... when the price has gone no doubt
Just add to that Nass, last time out " 66/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (16.6f) 23 days ago, not knocked about"
My only slight concerns are that 3 of his 4 wins have been in lower grade races and the jockey has only ridden him on those 2 recent occasions where he was down the field. Having said that, he did win one easily (Kinscote riding) and all his wins have been in faster time than Mukha Magic's 3 wins carrying similar weights, including the one he won by 7l, and he receives 8lb from that one. Apart from the jockey (about whom I know nothing) he looks to have the beating of MM. I'd be slightly worried about the sudden switch of jockey on Durrell (ie to Buick)
Different jockey is down to the switch of yard, but I actually think its quite a positive for the horse that Andrew Mullen rides, who is 112 winners from 872 rides at Southwell with a profit of £197.51 to level £1 stakes!! I would much rather have him on one at Southwell than say Will Buick. He has already shortened into 13/2.
6/1 now. Bugger. Hate missing a price; had to go out. Ah well I'll leave it now but good luck Btw, crappy pedigree b g Dubawi - Time Control (Sadler's Wells) and the dam's mare line looks decent as well
2nd top rated by Timeform (97) 1lb below Durrell (98) and 1 lb above Mukha Magic (96) Then it's Bollin Joan 95 Kodiac Harbour 95 Charlie Arthur 94 Cedar Cage 93 Loch Ness Monster 90
NO smokey. You have to take the odds available or SP but it is BOG. Only the money is virtual, and the shop of course
Doesn't really matter if you missed half a point on the price then does it? A winner at 11/2 is better than saying "well I didn't get on at 7/1 so was happy to watch it win" Go on Ron, risk a virtual tenner on one you think is not quite value. You never know, it might drift
Catterick 1.00 - County Charm 6/1 3.00 - Jill Rose 7/2 3.30 - Round The Island 7/4 Singles and E/w treble on Richard Whitakers 3 on the card. Lingfield 4.10 - Roundabout Magic 9/1 4.40 - Beat the Breeze 7/1 Dow/Marquand quick double at Lingers. Singles and e/w double.
Two things. Never ever have I ever put a fake price on here And Why has Nass put up the two horses I gave him earlier? (Can verify this claim too)
I have had a virtual tenner on at 6/1 BOG but at the odds when Nass put it up I would have had a bigger stake ew. Happy to risk a tenner on the win
