And he could have picked up about 4 other yellows on top of it. Got away with a lot. Him, Bailly, Shaw and Martial all should've gone and only one did, yet they're being portrayed as victims of Taylor. Ludicrous.
Exactly. I don't like what Lamela did, but we can only be bitch slapped for so long before we play the same game. Get decent refs or fight fire with fire.
Because that's what pundits call "being clever" Usually the pundits who had a habit of tripping over a blade of grass when they were playing twenty years ago...
"Erik... It's not violent conduct, but..." - Anthony Taylor, as he books Lamela. Exactly. If Martial doesn't react like a twat, then I don't even think our player gets booked. It's the standard crap at corners.
Kleenex time... please log in to view this image 1.) Aurier is actually finding teammates with passes now? I mean, obviously, it's either sideways to Sissoko or backwards to Sanchez, but that's six of one and half a dozen of the other... 2.) Contrary to what the usual Pathetic pundits claimed, it looks like Reguilon is playing the Ben Davies role as he's bringing midfield into the game, providing an out ball for Hojbjerg and getting the ball to Son, which is exactly what Davies does 3.) Lamela dropping back to let Aurier get forward is exactly what we need from our RW with this system. It also let him find some new victims to ****ehouse into submission... 4.) The map towards Ndombele is similar to the one to Lo Celso against A North Macedonian Team, which I'm sure is no coincidence 5.) Can we stop the "Ndombele Alvaro" stuff now? I don't see "Reguilon Rodriguez", "Kordt Hojbjerg" or "Sanchez Mina" anywhere
I wonder if Hojbjerg and Sissoko might be the right pairing for better sides, while leaving one out against teams where we have lots of the ball? Sticking Lo Celso or Ndombele in there or just using them both would give us more creativity against deep defending sides. It's nice to have so many options, as Mourinho suggested after the game. Team that didn't start yesterday: Hart; Doherty, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Davies; Winks, Lo Celso; Bergwijn, Alli, Bale; Vinicius.
It’s certainly a nice option to have. GLC is a very hard worker but he doesn’t have the pace and physical power Sissoko does that are so useful out of possession. I agree that against better sides, especially those with very strong midfielders, it’s certainly an option that should be considered strongly.
Just had a thought, might be a good chance to start Season 3 of DH's Road Trips Will have to find out the main Utd forum to browse.
I propose they be called DH’s Away Days as thats the closest any of are getting to a proper away day this season
