A must win for both sides so early in the season. Any result will have a massive impact psychologically on both sides. An Everton win will give them an incredible boost. Beating the champions to go clear as well as winning the derby for the first time in many years. For us it will confirm that we are nowhere near the form we were last season. We win and the impact is reversed. A draw will probably suit Everton more than us. I’ll go for 3-2 to us but this season it could almost be anything.
The pressure is all on Liverpool. After that humiliation yesterday there’ll be an obvious desire to put it right, but also nervousness around whether you could also take another dry humping from an in form Everton side who’ve scored 24 goals in 7 games. Our tails are up, we’ll go into the game full of confidence and if I was a Liverpool fan I’d be ****ting bricks about that high line with James and his wand of a left peg feeding Richarlison and DCL.
Ancelotti will make them competitive. He has the experience of fighting for and winning league titles. Of course they’ll want to win but I suspect they won’t be too unhappy with a draw.
Exactly, Everton do best against Liverpool when they have no hope beyond trying to spoil our progress with a 0-0
Not really. The Goodison derby was a few games from the end of the season, had you have won it, you’d have won the league. Anyway, the salient point was, you’ve not won on your last 2 visits when you were in fine form.
Get rid of Pickford and I can see big things for you guys. Ancellotti seems to be putting together a very good squad
Pickford has become an absolute liability. He’s made a host of errors already this season & it’s only because we’ve been scoring for fun that those errors haven’t cost us. He’s had no genuine competition for his shirt since the day he arrived & it shows. He’s never let Southgate down, but he’s got 2 fine keepers all over his back for that place, coincidence? I think not. It’s all about concentration levels and focus, he knows at Everton that his **** ups have no consequence. I’m praying we move for Romero today, as he’s capable of ripping the shirt off his back. I’m not having that a manager of Ancelotti’s experience is looking at Pickford and thinking he’s his man, no chance. We’re still a bit short in certain areas btw, but massively improved on last term, so we’re heading the right way under Don Carlo, without doubt mate.
I would agree, its been good for you lot there lately. I would add that Ancelotti always had Klopps number when he was at Napoli too, which makes things difficult
