Just downloaded the free 10 hour trial from the PlayStation store pre-release, played 2 games and already irritated by the commentary, anybody else or am I just being grumpy? Don’t think I’m gonna pay £50-£80 for it on first impressions

I never like the commentary on them. You hit the shot button on the half way line and he gets all excited “AND THATS A SHOT FROM DEFOEEEERE” when in trickles just past the centre circle.
That said, as a programmer, those things are incredibly difficult to program. You can’t really do much with it as it has to try to react to the buttons pressed. Computer programmers union!!!!

I get bored of the fact that fifa is now just basically an attempt to get bairns to spend hundreds on fifa points. That's what my lasses older lad did for years. Ultimate team is all they're arsed about. I'm not a bairn so I won't spend money on top of a game I've already paid for so I want a canny career mode, whether manager or the one where you have a career as a player. But typically every year is the same on the because it doesn't make them money. Can't wait for them to outlaw loot boxes tbh, it's blatantly gambling and its mental, kids spend many times more than what the game cost just in the hopes of getting a player to use on a game mode. And hell, even if you get Messi (the odds are ridiculous to begin with) there's then team of the week Messi, team of the season etc. Take the ****ing piss. I've had a drink mind, sorry for the rant. But **** them, back in the day (NES and SNES for me as a kid) you'd buy a game and that was it. No bugs, no add ons, just buy the game and play the ****er.

Sensible soccer was class! And I've still got international superstar soccer for the SNES (Colombia were class with perez and alvarez up front)! Still love my video games, even if I don't get much time to play now I've got bairns (bought the remake of resident evil 2 recently, I'm **** at it now). But aye, everything now is buy this, buy that. Fifa is the worst for it. Red dead, that's mint, enjoy that.

The commentary is incomplete as the games not finished and the full season packs aren’t loaded yet (hence not having correct fixtures of Sky commentators).

There’s a heap of shirts/sponsors missing and has already been 2 updates and it’s not out officially until Friday <laugh>

I played it for couple hours and my first impression was decent improvements, particularly for career mode. We won’t see a massive change until November when the next gen consoles get delivered.

Paying for add ins doesn’t concern me as I don’t play it online.

Probably better than the PES commentary which they only update every ten years it seems. It's odd because they seem to work hard on improving minor things to justify the price but none of them really give a **** about the commentary.

If it was me I'd get them in there every year recording new dialogue it can't be that expensive.

Can’t comprehend they don’t mix up the commentary.

Get Neville and Carragher on there for authenticity etc.

Wouldn’t care about that mate, losing a computer game online? How would I live <laugh>

I just buy it for career mode, never had any interest in online.

Feel your pain on that one mate, crohns is an arse of a disease. Just seems mental, my immune system was fine for 34 years then suddenly started attacking my guts for no reason so I've got to take anti inflammatory tablets every day for life. Thinks it's mint my immune system does, but then it doesn't notice the cancer in my ****ing thyroid so now I need that taken out and need a tablet every day for life for that as well. Used to be ****ing healthy, now I feel like I'm dropping to bits!

I take it you never watch tv or read a book unless it's educational?

Nacho, your not talking about books and TV, your talking about grown men playing meaningless football games on a computer ffs.
I can see why my thirteen year old grandson plays them cos he's a child.
