Issue is, you look at how many shots we actually allow teams to have from 20 yards or so and it’s actually a hell of a lot for a top team.

Vvd will often let people shoot from there because they trust alisson is going to save them.

issue here has been we’ve let them shoot from similar positions today and yeah some have taken really unlucky deflections but Adrian juat doesn’t have the same presence in net and once a couple go in, all of a sudden confidence from the opposition increases and you’re in trouble

 

Think we we took about 9 matches at start of last PL season to concede this many

I know Adrian will get a lot of criticism here but three/four of their goals were bizare deflections, nothing Alisson could have done about them either. There's been far far worse keepers than Adrian in the PL and they don't concede 7 goals (for now) in a game.

The entire midfield/defense has been sloppy this evening; misplacing passes, not covering runners, leaving gaps and every other basic that we used to have nailed down.

I have no idea what's changed, but none of them have been at the same level as the last two years.
