Yeh i know she beat the pacemaker. But there were some good horses trailing in her wake, and i mean a very long way behind her.Thats why i wouldnt judge her too shabbily.
OddDog: Me too.......... This was a hell of a performance by the German filly, 5-lengths winning margin and possibly a time record for the race? Or damn near anyway. Yes, SYT was too far back early on, but honestly don't think he would have beaten the winner............Phew!
Good horses who were probably too far back to land a blow. Can't laud her yet based on beating Sarafina's pacemaker a few lengths but hey ho we all see things differently. In addition the proximity of Snow Fairy always makes me think where would Midday have finished in that and she's a very good filly but perhaps just short of the very, very top tier.
Great win by the filly. She received a lot in weight from some of the so called big guns, but nothing can be taken from her performance today. I also think a lot of riders out there today wore pumpkins on their shoulders. I could say a fair bit about some of riders and trainers, but I don't think that this is the time to do it. All honours to Danedream and her connections. They dared to dream big, and it paid off in spades.
Dex, thats what I was thinking. I was wondering if he had been an assistant at one of the big yards. Who is the guy Barney has noted as a trainer to follow?
Just to show how difficult racing can be at times - just the 2 runners in the 4.05 at Uttoxeter but I couldn't call the winner
Interesting little Grade 3 at Tipperary and I'm going for Bullock Harbour - I think he is much better than he showed last time out
martenjulian Marten Julian What a terrible ride. So You Think long-striding galloper who lengthens rather than quickens ridden like Dancing Brave. Shocker. - I actually agree with this in regards tactics but I do wonder if they were trying to do it because of the draw? One for most of us to learn from, 3 year old drawn low next year boys and girls.
Very sad, one my favourite horses of the past two seasons. Condolences to the owners, and indeed William Haggas. Such a lovely filly, R.I.P
Pulled up, hope he is ok. Oddy, he Aussie will win a few on that sort of ground, he just went too fast and looked in need of the run/experience
Jockey didn't give him an education, he just expected him to fly them all. I thought he did very well to keep on his feet. I wonder if they would be a bit more sensible, the one who was sensible was the one who won.
