Apparently Star on Sunday, People & Mirror according to this site.

Seems as if the story has came from Clive Hetherington as he is the author of Mirror/Star articles... the People is worded slightly different but is the same news.

Someone on this board had been saying an American based company for about 3 weeks now, so if that happens fair play to him because I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else mention it in last 3 months

Sorry to say, but that article says nothing. Looking at the same article on 3 different newspapers sites, with the same wording almost exactly, it looks like nothing more than a few line column filler that was put together by trawling through here, RTG and other sites for some news. Theres less in it than some of the recent posts on here.

The only thing that can be taken from it is that the sale is still progressing. If there are multiple NDAs in place and other sources they'd normally use still on furlough, they've probably not been able to get any confirmation and knocked this together as a column filler so they don't look totally out of the loop if or when the takeover happens.

To summerise it, SAFC is up for sale with some American interest in buying them, but we don't think it's FPP but we don't know who else and have no more information.

It is very possible that another American group are interested and have contacted the club recently.

Doesn't mean it's them currently in advanced discussions though.

If it's not FPP, but an American based company, what about Dell buying SAFC all by himself?

What about DD not being an issue though as NB stated. Mind you he could have been misled on that.

I’m thrown now like, if all of a sudden 4 major media outlets are reporting on it then it must be close and suggesting an American consortium but not furhman, rules out crab beard then, was looking forward to super Sunday now my heed is in a spin
