Wolves disallowed goal

  1. I've watched it several times and i personally think it was out of play JUST.

Some Toon fans i know watched the match on Viasat and watched the highlights on Viasat and they said they saw an angle of goal, and the ball looked like it was fully over the line when Jarvis headed it.

At the end of the day two big decisions went against Wolves, and i personally think we deserve to be where we are the in league. Apart from the last 10 minutes of the Wolves game we defended well, and our keeper was amazing.

    <ok>

Pens still need to be scored, and more have been saved/missed this season than scored, so it's no guarantee of a goal.

The few times I saw it replayed I couldn't tell (horrible stream) but it seemed like a 50/50 call. I'm a bit miffed with how we won, considering it apparently gives cocks like Merson license to attribute our success to fortune and luck.

The penalty was definite for Wolves and shocked me, but defensively I thought we were pretty average at times. Lots of nearly moments and poor closing down - plus the whole 2nd half complacency dilemna. But Krul was magnificent, we worked for that win and got it. I'm definitely not complaining about it!

  4. We deserve a bit of luck to be honest, we rarely get it, and the bad luck started 2nd game of the season when we should have had a pen/goal in the first 10 mins.

Obertan doesn't seem to defend at all, both crosses came from him not sticking a foot in.

Yeh it looked out to me, but the complaints seem to be that the linesman 'couldnt' have known from where he was. Don't buy that **** though obviously since I think he was right.

Looked in to me, The penalty incident was shoulder to shoulder with O'Hara throwing himself to the floor.

I watched the match at the club on viasat and since then I have seen motd highlights and I've got to say we were lucky because I think the ball did stay in play and even if it didn't the official wasn't in any sort of position to make the call. As for the penalty there wasn't even a foul, the wolves play dived. We were lucky at the end but you know what they say, you make your own luck and getting lucky is a sign of a good team.

I noticed that, fair play to him.

Also the ball was not out of play, the whole ball has to be over the line.

Looked above the line(clearly in) for me. Won't complain mind, good to get a bit of luck.

Wolves player didn't exactly dive, he had Taylors arm/elbow in his face then kicked in the legs.

If he didn't try pass it, I don't think we would of conceded, he needed to continue his run.

Tracking back is pointless if you are just going to allow the opposition to cross the ball though.

Half the ball over the line. Whole ball only for a goal.

Eh? No it isn't. Whole ball over the line for any situation where the ball goes out of play or over the goal line.

I think it's a matter of opinion, Wolves fans will argue it wasn't out; we'd argue the opposite. The way I see it is that we'll face plenty more of these incidents this season whether it's for or against us as will Wolves, it's just the way the game is, karma.

These kind of decisions are always hard, have to just rely on the linesman fully. Sometimes they're given, sometimes theyre not.

My first reaction was that it should have been a goal. It didnt really look convincingly over the line, whereas the Silva/Aguero one earlier this season DID look over the line, wasnt given and the goal wrongly stood...

Its about time we got some good luck though. We'd have lost this last year.

what pisses me off the most is wolves had plenty of chances to score, you could argue they should have won with the amount of chances they had.. yet the blame will fall on those 2 decisions the 2 chances they had to grab a goal taken away from them. fair enough not so much the 2nd as the ball went in, but to complain when you don't get a decision after you scuff all your previous chances is just hiding away from the true reason you didn't get anything out of the match, their deliveries and finishing were very poor
