Has 4 in 4 games so far this season. outscored Joe’s tally for the whole of last season. it’s great to see a striker in black and white scoring goals again. It’s been a while.
stop being so negative man. It’s all I hear from you. Back the players and the team mate. It cleanses the soul.
I have to say he looks much better than I though he was... If gets injured though? We need a loan at least imo..
Jesus christ no... Tbh Joelinton is streets ahead of Caroll... Hes done well last two games... He's useless in and around the box though
Nah he played well mate.. He's still shot of confidence, but let's, be fair he's done OK the last few games.. He ain't no striker though
I was surprised when some of our fans weren't rating him - I can only assume they hadn't arsed themselves to watch him much. I think I said at the time within the last 18 months Chelsea held a very high interest in the guy. He got called up to the national squad. They were getting lost in statistics etc. "his goal record is poor" etc etc. Sometimes though you've got to get past stats, and look at how a player might fit into a system or club. I thought he was a great fit for us when he was at Coventry. His workrate and pace is ideal. He has a bit of Andy Cole about him in terms of his ability to time runs and play on the last man. He wouldn't have the class of Cole, but he works a hell of a lot harder. Just a good fit - a bit like Bellamy who came with a similarly unimpressive record in terms of stats. You knew he'd be a hit the moment he got on the pitch because our fans love effort. He does tend to be fairly high maintenance in terms of injury. Have to say I thought Joelinton gave his most confident performance since joining the club against Burnley. He looked like he had a bit of belief and freed himself to move around the pitch a bit. Long way to go to call him a player, but I'd love the fans to show him some love as I think he is crying out for that. Not saying I think we will get a world beater but he can be of use if he can build on that yesterday.
