Think other teams are now prepared to wait for the early storm to blow over and then go at City as it clear they can no longer control games the way they could .
City not looking title challengers atm but early days. Sure once get Aguero back will score few more goals to cover the shoddy defence. Everton look decent. See if they can keep that up once they hit a wobble or come across a decent team though. So far played 3 relegation candidates plus the lottery of spurs on day 1
He didn't play very well at all, by his standards. Didn't create much and was dispossessed several times.
A few getting a bit giddy about Everton winning 4 on the bounce, think its a bit early to be getting to excited. Then again, considering what they have been like, if I was a blue, I'd be over joyed.
Quality player but doesn't exactly fit in with what OGS is attempting to built. Signed as a Plan B imo.
Another gamble for utd, could work well, or could be another big contract their stuck paying for noubt. From having a reasonably clear plan, theyve changed to just odd signing out of nowhere
Spurs away isn’t a tough gig? West Brom who were 3-0 up against Chelsea and took a point. Brighton who were unbeaten away from home since Jan until today & battered United last week but somehow got nothing And Palace who’d won 3 on the spin including doing United away before facing us. No one decent though...... Not getting carried away, but it took us until game week 12 to get beyond 11 points last season and we finished 10 points off 6th. We’ve now got a far superior side and a new system that suits what we’ve got. We’ve now got past the 2 games per week period & will therefore have an advantage over the 7 sides in Europe. Can’t not be happy with 7 wins on the spin and bagging 24 goals in the process.
It's not like Juventus have anything to be concerned about, they dominate Italy like Celtic do Scotland!
Youre right, those 4 are likely to be challenging Everton for the title this year it looks like Why do you have to have a hissy fit and get so defensive when ever someone says anything that isn’t Everton are amazing. You’re trying to justify that palace West Brom and Brighton are decent teams? One came up from championship and have 1 point... Brighton as you say played well and lost against united, that’s hardly sign of a great team is it? Like I said, you guys look decent but you’re on paper 7th best team in league so you should be beating those teams. Let’s see if you’re still up there at the end of December once you’ve played some of the teams that In my option are likely to finish above palace Brighton and West Brom, which is about 14 other teams.
Hissy fit? What? It was a perfectly reasonable post, containing nothing but facts and my opinion on where we are. But you reply with that. Just **** off, can’t be arsed with anymore ****ers today.
Bit rubbish that they've counted keepers under defensive signings; technically right but most would assume it meant defenders only
Even if they take the keepers out its still an astonishing amount of money. With only laporte and Emerson being unqualified successes
I'd say Walker as been a success as in he's been a regular in the team and performed at a decent level, just not world beating standards. Guess at £50m, you'd expect a bit more though. Mendy looked quality prior to injury but, although unlucky, that's part and parcel of the game.
Id include walker if he was more than strong and quick. For 50million especially at the time they bought him, your expecting a world beater. I thought when they signed mendy it was a real quality signing, but I get the feeling pep has no real clue how to set up or coach defenders to actually defend. It seems his whole plan goes toward attack, so he buys the "best " defenders he can in the hope that their natural ability sees them through.
Quoted from an EFC fan on Facebook, Everton FC - Grandoldteam "Don’t want to speak to early but I think the tltle this year is ours to win cmon you toffees great things are definitely ahead can’t wait to come up and watch you live great team with great leadership" After how many games!!! There is still a long way to go, plus COVID to account for in addition to the usual injury risk!
