Great first half, second half we started to look tired, would be easy for me to sit there and say McCann this McCann that and say I wouldn't of made this or that sub but I guess all the time we grind out the result and another clean sheet there's not much to say. Still not a fan of magennis though. Some excellent football, passionate defending and you can only beat what's in front of you. UTT

I've just voted we'll lose on penalties to help balance out your statistics, Chazz.

Don't want you claiming things that aren't true at the AGM.

It’s Wakefield then that have the largest City to not have a team represented in the top flight.

    Population 345k (2018)

or perhaps it doesn't. this is confusing. wiikipedia says the population of wakefield is 99k. it also says "the City of Wakefield is a local government district in West Yorkshire, England, with the status of a city and metropolitan borough. Wakefield is the district's administrative centre. The population of the City of Wakefield at the 2011 Census was 325,837. The district includes the ‘Five Towns’ of Normanton, Pontefract, Featherstone, Castleford and Knottingley. Other towns include Ossett, Hemsworth, South Kirkby and Moorthorpe and South Elmsall. The City and borough are governed by Wakefield Metropolitan District Council."

    Wakefield 99,251
    Normanton 20,872
    Pontefract 30,881
    Featherstone 15,244
    Castleford 40,210
    Knottingley 13,503
    Osset 21,231
    Hemsworth 13,311
    South Kirby & Moorthorpe 11,105
    South Elmsall 6,519

which comes to around 271k, so a few more villages required to get to 325k, and more still to get to 345k.

there's a site here that lists the 1000 largest uk cities and towns by population. it lists wakefield at 104,757. above that are several places that have not even had league teams never mind top division sides, including warrington (172k), slough (164k), york (162k), poole (159k), telford (149k), cambridge (149k), etc. no sign of croydon on the list; it claims a population of 192k with croydon borough having 385k.

    all too complicated.

A really enjoyable game to watch, somewhat spoilt for me as the internet here was playing up and a lot of buffering. Rather annoying to get the alert on my phone that we scored only to see it 5 minutes later. Cue switch off my phone.

Having said that, still enjoyed the match, credit to both sides to dish up and entertaining game, I thought both sides played some really good football, and we just deserve to win it on balance.

Hard to pick a MOTM, no one had a bad game, I really like Adelakan, has a really good eye for a pass, and will only get better. Docherty had his best game for us, Honeyman was his usual busy self, Emmanuel was very good again & Batty was steady, and the 2 centre backs were excellent.

Special mention for KLP, he is getting better each game, and the cross for the goal was sublime.

4 wins and 4 clean sheets what's not to like.

That is stretching the boundaries. The city population is less than 100,000. Under the same basis Hull's population is about 500,000 and Bristol's over 700,000.
