We need a couple of strikers and to get rid of useless ones... This takeover has to happen sooner rather than later..
I don't believe we have to worry about either tbh ... ... Donald can't hang on and Methven is an irrelevance.
From reading the RTG thread back, it seems they were talking about Methven, and somebody remarked that he wasn't welcome in Sunderland any more, and during the following exchanges Madbob said, ' he is at my house' , meaning welcome, not actually present at his home. This then got tumbled in the wash into Charlie being Bobs houseguest, which started a row about social distancing, and CM being vunerable healthwise etc., and as usual the pitchforks came out . all a bit surreal actually, but typical of RTG.
Just hope the new regime can influence things now, having watched that performance this afternoon I can’t wait for us not to be owned by this current lot. I also hope they’re planning to bomb Parkinson out and ensure we never again have such a toothless set of striking options. Charlton were there for the taking, yet we managed to not win that game. Expecting more of the same unless the new lads can influence things Embarrassing really.
I've heard from enough people to be confident that Methven is very involved still, and that he very much wants a sale to happen. And that him and Donald arent exactly getting on nowadays . Can't see any problems in terms of the selling side, Donald must know he can't afford to stay. If he does we lose about £10m that he'd ultimately need to fund. All in the hope for what? Us to maybe go up and him maybe get about £10m more? It makes no sense. I think the trouble is that we're in the ultimate buyers market. It won't be Donald this time
I'm not worried about Methven whether he stays of goes tbh, he's a minor consideration despite what he thinks of himself. A sale will go through whatever he wants and he'll have no say in future events. He may benefit but it'll take years.
If you are looking for someone to blame for that then Bobs use of language is your answer. Bloke uses his forehead to type
On balance I'd say he detracts more from the forums than he adds. He has some good moments but I'm sick of seeing his name now tbh.
A decent strikers would make all the difference! It's not rocket science and I can't see us bringing one in before the window closes
If it's just Sartori I'll obviously give it time but deep down I'll be wanting the next takeover. Don't trust him at all tbh, he'll probably lose interest again and leave us stranded. I think when you consider that, being realistic, you're looking at around £100m investment to get into the Premier league it really needs to be a pretty serious businessman /people with pretty deep pockets. If it's someone else just saying the right things about making the club sustainable and hoping to get good recruitment etc in place but without much in the way of funding I'll be worried and very underwhelmed after dreaming of something more
@Smug in Boots Can't understand it really as the chances are being created Grigg has an OK record in league 1 wyke had that one ok season for Bradford so they should be scoring. Miss Maja badly he was frustrating to watch but his goals for us were vital. Shame we couldn't have kept him and osoro
