Their manager admitted they had to change tactics and formations after 20 minutes to cope with us.

    And it worked.

Guess it's probably that sort of management ability that see Reading top with 4 wins from 4.

Slav used to do that a lot too.

I'd like to think that that was the plan...

OK. So, we looked solid, that was good. But, we created very little an looked a bit toothless upfront. That is a bit worrying. I guess we have made a solidish but uninspiring start to the league.

Personally, I think Hughes is really missed. If / when he comes back playing him in the creative CM position could make a difference. That and a real striker. Perdo is good and promising but far too inexperienced and as much as I like Sarr I feel his is more or a winger. Even a fit (I am guessing he won't be back too soon or sold to be honest) Deeney was missing today.

Is there an international break now? I guess that can olny help to get some players back from injury, transfer window depending.

My sense is that Gray is the sort of forward that Vlad prefers, rather than Deeney.

Which is odd really, given Gray's comparative lack of ball control and inferior passing ability.

Vlad needs to get the right combination of players playing as a team regardless of who they are
    Need to be done soon

Starting with a natural striker would be a start..

    And having some fit midfielders.
