This week he is mentioned daily probably because the media are quoting every midfielder or winger that was mentioned ever, since Cuisance fell through. When you look at his stats he is brilliant except for the lack of goals and assists? As you know though that could be because of the way he has been used at Watford and then Leicester. I think if Bielsa likes him he may be a dark horse as his club will not stand in his way and wont try and rip us off

I think Cantwell would do well for us. I think he would slot right in next to Klich. Not quite as creative as Pablo but more mobile and could improve quite a bit under Bielsa. I like him. Would be a solid signing at 15 million.
As well as Cantwell speculation a serious Spanish journo for Marca has said Leeds tabled a £15m bid plus £3m in bonuses for Jose’ Campana who has just been selected to the Spanish National team. Levante have not said no out of hand although its expected that they will today and expect Leeds to come back with a bit more. Campana has a €36m release clause but its widely accepted that they will accept much less due to Covid?

Fast-forward six months and he purchased Leeds. “I said, ‘hang on a minute, this is a club I’ve been looking at’ and I saw so many similarities wit the 49ers a decade ago or 15 years ago. We have a global fanbase and are one of the top brands in the world in any sport but the 49ers were falling on hard times. We rebuilt the franchise and that’s sort of where I saw Leeds the growth opportunity and direction they were heading in.” Marathe has big plans for Leeds United and they are a sleeping giant, just like the 49ers.
