Climate change - makes me laugh this one.

As we know the world has heated up and cooled down since its inception and it will always be so. The hard part for the great and the good is:

    - convincing everyone that its now our fault,
    - altering the way a whole planet behaves
    - and trying not to look like total hypocrites in the process of changing things

Why they didnt just say "its a good idea to change the way we do things" and leave it at that I've got no idea; but it just shows how hopeless they are at this. Great at making money, but absolutely ****e at changing anything that in truth reduces their wealth making opportunities eg fossil fuels, oil etc

Davos is coming up soon, where they all meet. It was going to be January but someone said it has now been moved to later on next year. Anyway they will all fly their in their private jets, and contribute even more to their pet subject that they want you to make the sacrifices for - but not them.

Take china and look it up for yourself - make all of the right noises - and then promptly go and build loads of new plants fuelled by coal.

None of this is happening any time soon and that Thurnberg lass is right - the governments are doing sweet fanny adams in reality on this subject because:

    1. none of them know how to do it without causing massive unemployment and social upheaval, and
    2. loads of then have vested interests in the status quo

5G is interesting in this respect. A belt and braces technology if ever there was one that the great and the good seem intent on advancing with, despite the fact that:

    1. It will take 20000 to 50000 satellites - dependant upon which research site you look at - to get it operational
    2. all of the satellites will have to be replaced within a 5 to 8 year timeframe
    3. The rockets taking these satellites into space will exhume fuel that will deplete the ozone layer
    4. no one has the foggiest, once they are up there, what effect the crap they will beam down will have on the planet and the ozone layer
    5. The signal down on the ground cant even go through branches and leaves and they have had to chop down tens of thousands of trees all over Europe for example to make way for this technology

(all of the above is easily researched by using google - interesting subject)

So my view would be that the first country that really tries this will have a load of problems - technological, human, atmospheric, health - so a bit like vaccines - I wouldn't go first.

Driverless cars? - I assume this means no private cars on the roads; no garages, none of the industries that thrive off cars - I just cant see how they implement it without it totally kicking off.

Great idea but no one clever enough on the planet to do it properly.

I'm not spamming any board. I've got absolutely no obligation to respond to anyone on here - as well you know. Who the hell are you like to demand I respond to anyone?

Whats your real name - Boris johnson? He's good at forgetting free speech and people living in a free country as well.

Well you would think that a coherent plan would be a start wouldn't you? Unless someone can point me to one = I've never seen it.

It's a discussion forum, people post an opinion and other posters discuss, OP then usually responds. It's called discourse, you might want to try it, you might learn something.

The 2105 Paris agreements were a good start if all signatories honour their obligations, everything starts small. Unfortunately Trump puts re election before the planet.

one thing amazes me in all this, we are the worst 'virus' on the planet, hell bent on owning and stripping any and every viable asset and we all sit listening to the experts telling us how high the seas will be if we do not start to recycle...on the other place someone once asked which car he should go for, i pointed out that vardys had a good dealat the time for a nice, eco friendly type family car, i got well laughed at and shot down as they all came back with 'BMW'...'AUDI'...get a 4x4 and go green laning, still they seek out these juice guzzlers just because of the name tag.

...and the 'experts' are fun eh? i mean, they all 'gang up' on the general public, try to shock and shame us into changing our ways yet all of them to a man (or woman) will have investments in there somewhere... many times it has been said, many times it has been proven, HEMP is the most versatile plant on this earth, it can make ropes, textiles, totally green fuels, hemp-crete for building, plastic bags, toilet paper (the list is almost endless) whilst also being completely bio degradeable and will actually FEED the soil...yet because one newspaper owner decided to aim a slur at 'the weed' (and actually used blacks to push his agenda) it was outlawed, at one point there were hemp farms across america, the added benefits are 12 week harvesting cycle (4 harvests per year, compare that to a tree) and a hemp 'forest' will take in far more carbon and give out far more oxygen than a much bigger tree forest, there are most likely loads more including good solid employment for the locals, the rain forests need not be decimated as they are, in fact could be allowed to grow again.

also, in the 70's we had a massive scare as we were told how the ozone now had a massive hole in it, this ozone layer protected the earth from a lot of the suns harmful rays that could heat the planet up...now this layer has been there for feck knows how many thousands if not millions of years, how long would it take to repair i wonder...now imagine this layer is still complete and we start to throw probes to the moon, then mars and beyond, spacecraft to the moon then we start throwing a couple of satelites out until it has become an almost daily occurence with Musk and his multi billionaire ideas, others will want to follow his lead, the ozone is not that far above the earth 70 miles or so although it does fluctuate, it was basically a 'bubble' around the planet, protecting us...i guess now it will more resemble a swiss cheese...but do not fret fellow earth dwellers, if we can dispose of our freezers and find a way to stop cows from farting, make sure we recycle all our tin cans, the earth will be saved.

apologies for the rant but this subject clearly boils my piss when there are so many alternatives that are both cheaper and easier to implement.

    Yes,
Recommend that people watch any of the Simon Reeves Travel programmes, whether he is in the America’s, Russia or in the Med the message is there.....the human race is ****ing up the climate....along with polluting it and poisoning every other species on it.
For those with their head in the sand, stop for a while and watch the David Attenborough Extinction, the facts Programme on the BBC from a couple of weeks ago. Maybe listen to the Joe rogan podcasts, plenty of eminent scientists desperately trying to get their message across.
We are all definitely ****ed, when is with the devil and his timing!
    Rant over and out

until you can stop China Russia and India from polluting at the rate they are, you are just pissing in the wind if you think any action we can take will stop it,all this eco warrior bullshit is laughable, they would be shot dead in the 3 countries mentioned, and i haven't even mentioned africa where refuse bins in most cities don't exist. yet the eco warriors tell us we must do as they say, no matter what we do if you cant stop the worst polluters it's only a drop in the ocean, but will will make our economy none competitive compared to the polluters. As human nature people will always buy the best priced products, in which the cheapest are the worst polluting countries its a vicious circle, and all the time more people being born more oxygen being used more animals bred for human consumption more oxygen depleted. In the time of the dinosaurs the oxygen level was twice what it is now,as the world was not inhabited by so many air breathers.

hence my view as well why worry when there is **** all that we can do that will change their push , except stop giving taxpayers help from the 17 billion we give out in foreign aid. That money helped China in its expansion plans in the South China Seas

That’s what I have deep concerns about. I have two granddaughters aged under eight. What will their world be like in 40-years?
Even supposedly clever people made and tested nuclear bombs where it wouldn’t affect people, way out in the Pacific.....****ers......The way forward is to realise that religious people should get a real job, that we were all here from the start, just our atoms were in different mixes and treat and respect all life as sacred.....fek, never drink and post!
