purse stings ,after watching the game against man utd ,it is clear that now have to get in two quality forwards. the effort that the team put in again was superb but the end result you had nothing to show for all the hard work.those norwich boys just cant keep runing around at that pace every week ,when the ground becomes soft and boggy it will be impossible for them to perform at that high speed pace ,game in game out .THIS was visible yesTterday that at the moment you have not quite got the quality up front to finish off all the approch work that is going on . The management will know what is going on and what is required so a word to Delia is what is requied ,you may not have to shout ,just talk loud ,and as for GRANT HOLT well that could well be another thread ,put the kettle on mavis ,time for tea .
Ooh get her! Managed to not lose against a newly promoted league one team and suddenly she's full of criticism for a team that performed so well against one of the strongest on the planet...
It's called luck and unfortunately it wasn't on our side yesterday, another day well that's another story... I disagree I think we're fine as we are, time will tell, it usually does
Let's wait and see what happens. it wasn't the striker that missed, it was the support players who are still finding their feet. It was the final ball that bothered me more in some ways. Not picking the player in acres of space..... but the training ground will start to put that right tomorrow. There will be more and more to work on at each stage and we're already so much better defensively, next step killer final pass.
no criticism here young beefy of norwich just plain facts mark my words, two new strickers on the way ,could be also grant holt going in the other way ........
I know you are a self confessed expert as you finish in the top 5 fantasy football LG with your mates but, don t preach to us about signings and tactics and concentrate on Ipswich................... I doubt anyone has ever read any of your threads and thought, "Horsey boy is right on the money". I have an opinion about blowing tons of ££££££££££££££££££ on a proven premier Lg striker and its not the same view you have..... Lamber is God, Jewel is a sex pest
I had a conversation yesterday with a friend of mine who insisted Norwich need to sign a striker. He said we need an Adebeyor (sp?) type. I nearly spat beer at him lol. There are only 5 or 6 sides in this league with the kind of 20 a season striker he was implying Norwich need. Those 5 or 6 are not sides we are going to be competing with for league position. There are few others in the prem with strikers that are any better than what we have. All we have to do this season is finish above three other clubs. Bearing in mind the quality on show so far by Bolton, Wigan, Blackburn, West Brom, Everton, Sunderland, & Wolves and then adding QPR and Swansea into the mix, I am sure we can finish above at least 3 of those.
So what we need is a quality striker like Jason "and they said holt was fat" Scotland eh? We're fine, cheers for the concern.

Talk of buying strikers that can finish at this level is quite frankly tosh.Far bigger sides than us have tried and failed with such a strategy. You can offer 5 million quid but if the player doesn't want to come it's a waste of time.If he does then his wage demands will be unrealistic. So,you either make do with what you have or try to buy in a forward with a season or two left in him with an established goal scoring record.I think of what has been available Crouch might have been the only possible option.
