The cynic in me says that after that complete clusterfuck of a debate the other day he’s been advised that he might not want to do the next one on the 15th. So all of a sudden he gets COVID. Hmmmmm?
Or seeing as they're actively campaigning he can come out and say stuff like "I personally suffered with this virus" etc.
The idiot denied there was a virus then said it would just fade away in the summer. I don't see how he can use his illness to his benefit tbh.
Remember who you are talking about here. Tump doesn't seem to have any concept of truth or lies, only what might be best for Donald Trump. He made such a mess of the TV debate, and he is behind in the polls. Would his scrupples stop him lying if he though it would win him some sympathy votes. I'll believe it when he shows signs of having been ill. I'm expecting that he will isolate for a couple of weeks, then announce to what he hopes MIGHT be a greatfull World that he is one of the lucky ones that has recovered and had no symptoms.

Trump's own fault for not mainlining Domestos, or whatever crap he was talking a month or two back. Obviously, I wish him a full recovery, but I'd like to think he has a bit of suffering ahead of him first...

There seems a lot of gloating and glee around after finding Trump has covid. However if Trump has no major reaction and doesn't need serious medical treatment it is certain his response will be something like "I told you it was not a problem". He'll be the gloater, and boy will he gloat. However, if the opposite happens he's a goner.
