Looks like Leeds have plenty of dosh to spend and on their performance so far they look likely to survive in the PL.
Cantwell to Leeds would be a great move for the young man. Todd was one of the few City players to raise his game in the top division, and our relegation represented a serious setback to his career development. He will now be nurtured by one of the best coaches in the world, with a wonderful opportunity to learn and progress. Our academy has done its job; Todd contributed to our promotion with the security it brought to the club; and Leeds will pay a fair price. He should go with our good wishes rather than a shower of sour grapes.
Each to their own , when Aarons and Godfrey get sold there will be no sour grapes but with Tod he appears to be forcing the move alongside his agent that wants a big slice of the pie . If the move collapses will he throw his toys out the pram and refuse to train or has he pissed off Farke to the extent he feels his presence is toxic? Leeds are always one dodgy owner away from going bust and spending big will not guarantee survival. I personally like Leeds but they are a soap opera club and not an example I wish to follow. You know better though as always
Not a surprise if Todd leaves. He was difficult to sign last time and all we could get from him was a two year contract. Can't blame him for wanting to be in the PL. He'll need to mature, though. All the best to him.
Paddy Davitt reporting that Everton have upped their bid, Godfrey to have a medical in the next 24 hours.
£25m plus add-ons is the latest number to be bandied around. Good deal for us until Zimbo gets crocked on Saturday.
City cannot afford to turn down that sort of money. Financial security is the main concern at the moment and this will be achieved by this deal. Bearing in mind that the window in Europe closes in a couple of days what is happening with the 3 players DF doesn't want?
Surely it was achieved - and then some, by not spending much of our media millions from last season? Not as if we blew a decent amount on transfer fees, after all.
Evening bors. Long time. Few thoughts. Cantwell isn't that good. Godfrey deal makes sense. Good move for him and good money for us. Player professional throughout. Doesn't go unnoticed. Fair ****s to the lad. Any player should want to play under Ancelotti/with some of the players at Everton.
Everton look like they are going to make a bid for Champions League status this season. Godfrey seems to be going to a club on the up so good luck to him. So we now have Zimmermann, Klose, Hanley and Gibson. I think Klose is injured again and Hanley on the way back from injury. Looks like Gibson and Zimmermann will be CB for Derby game. So we wait to see what happens to Buendia and Aarons. Looking like Pukki will still be with us?
Hi, Everton fan. What's the deal with Ben Godfrey? I must admit I've only watched him twice. Is he any good?
We go to bed early in Norfolk Dancer. rated very highly by many, including Rio F. who wanted MU to sign him a year ago.
He's a good young man. He'll listen to Carlo and there won't be any attitude or ego problems. He has good pace and can race the ball up the pitch when opportunity/necessity is there. He's good a passer, but don't be fooled by his stats because many of passes have been safe passes back to the keeper because of the way play. Defensively he's good (Norwich are not), not great. Definitely a PL player. He has plenty of natural athletic ability and could well be a starter for you by next season.
