Apparently Someone on SW is saying that two very good players are in. Just waiting for the terms of the contracts to be agreed.

They refrenced someone from the Ugly Inside forum, TBF he seems to be the only who posts any ITK snippets on there. Whether they are true or false though remains to be seen.
I'm still not convinced RLC is what we need, especially on loan. Very injury prone, and isn't defensively minded. Ralph could probably mould him into a hell of a player over the season, but if its just a loan, I'm not sure it's the right option as we don't play with a number 10 any more, and that's where he's done his best work whenever I've watched him
RLC is not a defensive midfielder at all. Oops misread your post. But I do think he's the sort of player we need.
Prior to tearing his Achilles in May 2019 (which forced him to miss virtually all of the 19-20 season), he had three injuries at Palace. Two were minor (2 days and 3 days) but then an ankle injury kept him out for 14 games. In total that season at Palace he missed 19 games, and had 24 appearances in the league. In the 18-19 season, before his Achilles injury, he made 40 appearances in all comps for Chelsea. He tore the ligament in a random friendly just after the league season finished but before their Europa League final (madness). In recent years he's had some issues and bad luck, and I can understand the worry. But before Ings signed, he would also have been side-lined for a hell of a lot of matches. We've proven in recent years that we are a good club for players to come and show what they can do when previously they've been injured or have something to prove (e.g. Ings, Bertrand). He's also a box-to-box CM, rather than a no.10/AM. I'd be happy if he signed.
But if that player is the difference between relegation and keeping you in the Prem, then it's just a drop in the Itchen!!
